I can’t see the BE losing a seat but it will be seat #4 or #5. If the future is p3 with 24 teams per conference, that’s 72 teams ahead of you. The reality is the sec and B1g will be driving the rules.

Even of UConn stayed in the BE, the P4 breaks away and has a national championship tourney for basketball........
dook, UNC, UVA, NC St, Louisville, Michigan, Mich St, Ohio St, Purdue, Kentucky, Florida, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA Arizona, Kansas, Baylor..........

The national audience won't call illegitimate because there is no UConn, Gonzaga, SDSU.

The P4 would freeze out BE and every other conference in the blink of an eye.

The Big 10 and SEC will have zero say when it comes to basketball if that future doesn’t include UConn, Duke, UNC, and Kansas, which is why it’s smart for a school like Kansas to find a partner in UConn to team up with. But literally no one will be fighting for the inclusion of a Kyle Neptune Nova, Providence, Marquette, Butler, etc.

I would argue even a Red Auerbach Nova

Just look at what they did to the Big East for the tournament this year.

They locked out 2-3 deserving teams and tried to give us the most difficult path possible.

People just don't get it. There's more to it than what happens on court or on the field. The narratives drive perception, and perception drives reality.

Wishful thinking. Why would those teams want to keep watching us win titles if they can just take their ball and go home, then start their own tourney. Need to be in the P3 to assure that doesn’t happen.

"But a Big 12 source said support for a Connecticut invitation still is lacking".

Yormark hasn't made his presentation to the Presidents yet. Let's hope he can sell it.

Lemme get this straight. The Big12 “power players” want to fire yormark for trying to add UConn after he single handedly destroyed the PAC and turned the big12 into a power conference just this time last year? These bleeping people

makes no sense to be going through the dog and pony show again, a year later, if things weren’t different this time.
While this story is news to us, it has been going on for months behind the scenes and it is obviously important to BY -- if this were any school other than UConn the invite would be a dead-certain outcome. With UConn, there is always a possibility that New Mexico and Gonzaga are announced this week.

If Yormark wants this. It's happening.
It's not that simple. But it would be quite odd for the votes to not have already been favorably lined up (at least conditionally) in order for Benedict and Toscano to be meeting with Big12 presidents. It seems unlikely that the meeting's purpose is for the AD and the Board Chairman to convince a handful of dissenting Presidents. That'd be strange business. In the past handful of years, the Big12 has expanded twice by 4 schools each time. They seem to have solid business practices. To not manage the UConn situation effectively and fairly for the hopeful candidate would be counter to how they've handled their affairs recently.

What exactly is the “risk”??? Us having a below average football team? Why does that even really matter when the winner of the conference is essentially assured a top 4 seed in the CFP. It’s not like basketball where it’s going to hurt the conferences metrics and thus March madness bids. Am I missing something?
