Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

I get that the school athletic department is hemorrhaging money, but being a public school helps buffer those losses considerably compared to private institutions due to state provided funding. Most, if not all, college athletic programs operate in the red on an annual basis. I know money rules & a P5 (soon to be P2) invite would be great, but it’s not like the big east has been a bust for us. I’m still on cloud 9 after banner number 5 & regardless of which conference we’re in, basketball is set to thrive.

I’m a big football fan & think Mora has done a great job. Keep winning & things will always work themselves out. Just my two cents.

I sincerely hope you live another 60+ years. You won't see a single Cincinnati championship just like the previous 60+ years but I hope you live to be the oldest human ever.
same to you my friend.

maybe in 60+ years uconn will finally able to get an invite from a relevant conference. would love for you to be able to see it.

What if the Px breaks away from the ncaa? Have you considered the consequences of being outside looking in?

This much is obvious.

By sheer numbers there wouldn't be enough tournament teams to run a bracket with just teams from the SEC, B1G, ACC, and Big12.

I mean, really a first round matchup 1 v 16 seed of Kansas vs a 10-22 Georgia Tech?

I think you at least need the mid majors to put together something that makes sense.

And does what? Run a tournament most of the country won't care about?

do you think most of the country will blow off a national championship consisting of the top 60 to 80 programs in the country? Please! Think CFB where Less than 10% of the schools are Px. You may not care at that point because your school is shut out, but it will be a national event. They can probably afford to buy the March Madness branding.

If you were a top 250 player, which tier which you like to play for? Remember NIL opps.

I think it would be an absolute disaster and I don't think they're dumb enough to try it.

It’s about the money, everything is about the money.
People wouldn't be interested in a sport where every team makes it from the P-whatever. It makes the regular season worthless and it produces a watered down crappy tournament. People want the regular season to matter, they want the little guys having chance to make the tournament and do damage in the tournament. If they do anything for money it will be expanding the tournament which would also be a mistake but not anywhere near as dumb.

Dumb question:

Won't a P2 or even a P3 run into anti trust issues? What's stopping the FTC from saying you can't continue to consolidate?

The fact that the FTC has no teeth and allows hundreds of monopolies?
