2020 Recruiting: Kadary Richmond reopens recruitment

Chief is ahead of the staff in his thinking???? You are TRYING to make my head explode, aren’t you?? Wow. God bless you and the purple sky in your world. Is your real name Al Gore? You invented UConn recruiting, didn’t you??

Dude Chief lives rent free in your head 24/7/365, just put him on ignore if he drives you this insane.

Wish I could, but somebody has to check the guy. Some people actually believe he has knowledge. Just tryin to keep the Boneyard real for those of us real fans that have been here since dial-up.

Richmond kind of reminds me of Chris Clarke from a few years back...both in his play and how his recruitment is shaking out. Both are a Swiss army knife type of player that can play/defend the 1-3 (possibly 4 in a pinch), but will likely spend most time off the ball. Clarke was also seen as a lock here (I think I'm remembering that correctly) but I think that's one that KO understood that so he put more time into other recruits. Ended up losing out because Clarke saw us as stringing him along as plan B/C

Loved Chris Clarke. His career was a strange one due to injuries and hemp. But he was really good for the Hokies when healthy. If Richmond is close pretty please?!?!

No, no one has to "check" him. We are all big boys and girls and are more than capable of assigning the appropriate amount of credibility to what we read. These sophomoric pile-ons just add annoyance to a fun diversion.

Confirmed?
I forget where I saw it but it looks very real. His hope is to move on. That fits the three open scholarships for next year too.

You do you and I'll do me. Feel free to ignore me if you'd like, no offense taken.

Kadary has such a great handle and body control. He jukes defenders out of position, just that step, and he's by you. Hope we get him. Him or Cam, we'll be stylin.

Stop. You are annoying. Whether Chief has info or not is irrelevant. He has style and is entertaining. You have no information, have no style and are not entertaining. If you never posted again, no one would miss you. The same cannot be said about Chief.

We played him on the adidas gauntlet. He killed us. He’s under rated. I’d LOVE to get him.

Do you think he'll be able to get into the lane at will at the d1 level like he does in hs? From what I've seen he has good patience jn the lane and makes higher level reads to pass, float, drive etc. Hard to tell how tight his footwork is right now

I don't know how to say this without it sounding stupid... but I'm gonna try.

I feel like getting Richmond would boost our chances of winning IT ALL in the next 2-3 years because he would be a multi-year player that has the core skill set to develop into a dominant college player. Could develop into NBA talent, especially with his size and ball skills.

Getting Cam would be better for the long term of the program and help future recruiting. He sounds like he could likely be a 1 and done and would be the first of Hurley's pipeline into the NBA.

I would be ecstatic if we were able to land either.

Not stupid on any level .I believe your analysis and conclusion are accurate and well reasoned . Give yourself more credit .You deserve it.

Also, I was the FIRST one that had the scoop on us returning to the NBE. You were probably at one of Chief's pow wows when that happened.

Adam Finklestein suggests that UConn is out after getting Jackson...
Obviously he would know, but I thought his quote read sorta like a guess. But we'll find out.

Makes sense, one of the remaining schollies is for a big (Cardwell/Omoruyi) and I have a feeling the other is earmarked for Thomas or they will save it.

From a pure basketball standpoint, who;s the better player? Kadary or Jackson?

I don't have an informed opinion, but my impression is that Kadary is the better player right now, whereas Jackson has the upside.

Agree - think you’re right.
