Wait, you mean this is just a vague statement that could have been gleaned by 2-3 posts written before he jumped in? No way! Not our Chief!name him.

Hearing the staff thinks they will land 2 out 3 .. with a chance of all three
Not to downplay the commits...
Dude what have you got against Chief? Are you a UConn fan or what? Suck it up and pay homage to the all mighty Chief. He DAM well deserves it.Not so fast Chief but you’re getting closer to being able to take credit. One commit is a rise in water level. Two is clear distress in the structure. Three would be your predicted dam break. If Matrim is right about this weekend your clairvoyance will be proven. That said, it’s just a great start and even if the eventual break doesn’t come until next month or the spring, I’ll gladly take it. I’ve seen enough so far to keep me going until then and to believe this staff is going to get us where we want to go.

Who would have thought this is the position we'd be in now after our last loss against SMU in March?
Incredible hire by AD Dave and incredible coaching staff assembled by Hurley. We are back.
Now for some results on the court...
You’re amazingly consistent when it comes to making me cringe. Not Stairs. He thought we were going to suck forever post-Ollie.
PS: Myself and the Boneyard Dream Team were expecting this.

I am not a big fan of his being a big fan of our former coach but he isn't totally wrong here. As of right now, Gaffney is a 3 star recruit on rivals and not particularly high on any site. When was the last time we had a 3 star recruit become a major contributor to a high performing team? Hilton? Maybe he will move up to a 4 star. Maybe these guys are all late in bumping him up. I hope so. And even if he doesn't become a star on a team that goes deep in the NCAA tournament, he could still be a critical piece to a nice first recruiting class. I just don't know if it is reasonable to call this the best class of all time, yet. Then you go on to downplay the commits. Face it, if you had your way we'd be playing in front of maybe 2,500 people.
Stairs admitted he was wrong though, multiple times. Not Stairs. He thought we were going to suck forever post-Ollie.

We'd need to hit on all five for this to be true. I take your general point, but let's not overstate the class yet. Frankly, it almost certainly needs Achiuwa on it for it to be even close.start to build potentially the greatest and most important recruiting class
Wait until we get Precious! We should schedule them. Beat the crap out of them at the garden with Gaffney, Sid, and Precious. That would be some fun! I might even hop a plane back to NYC for that one!As we all know, back in the Big East days, UConn had some deep, historic rivalries with programs that were close to our equals (Cuse, Georgetown etc).
However, a really underrated aspect of UConn fandom at that time was eating St. John’s lunch.
Nothing is as cute as a St. John’s fan’s hope and optimism for the future and today reminded me of just how enjoyable crushing their hopes and dreams is.
He offers confirmation of Ralph Waldo Emerson's, "A foolish consistency is the hobgobblin of little minds," additionally proving out the plural by garnering a Like from Jibsey.I'm not sure why he isn't on everyone's ignore list. He doesn't offer anything
Agreed. That's why I said potentially, given the indications that we have a great shot at some combination of Akok-Achiuwa-Kofi. The potential is there for this to be the greatest and most important recruiting class we've ever had. Obviously if we don't get those three, that likely won't be the case. We'd need to hit on all five for this to be true. I take your general point, but let's not overstate the class yet. We had a class of Drummond-Daniels-Boat in Calhoun's last year. 247 has Drummond ranked oddly low (I remember him being consensus Top 5), but if my memory is right, they had two players (Daniels and Drummond) who are ranked higher than anyone we're after except Achiuwa (who would be equivalent to Boat), in addition to Boatright, who is ranked higher than either of our guards.
I think this class has potentially to be very good. But UConn has had very good recruiting classes before.
We just might!I'm feelin' good. Kofi, Precious, and Akok. Let's get all three.
Especially the part about the fact St. John's were after Gaffney for "years". And that Sid Wilson transferred from there to us after a week. And that Chris Mullin sucks. And that St. John's has sucked for the better part of my life.St. John’s misses out on Jalen Gaffney
This article is hilarious to me
This is like trying to stay mad at your gf after she buys you a BMW
Just like boat n’ bazz babyCorey Evans of Rivals posted this on TOS.
Very, very good start for the Huskies this fall. Look for them to place a greater priority on their frontcourt in the months ahead, that being Achiuwa, Akok, Wahab and Cockburn.
Best part about the two guard commitments is that each can play on and off of the ball and, more specifically, each can really shoot the basketball.
The last part is music to my ears.
Don’t fault loyalty to KO at this point. I really don’t. It’s not how I see the World but it’s good to know he has someone in his corner. It's so transparent.
