Skyline of Lexington KY:

LexingtonDowntown.JPG

The buildings taller than 3 stories pretty much fit in a 3x3 block rectangle. Tallest building 410 feet / 31 floors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cityscape_of_Lexington,_Kentucky

Boston skyline:

Buildings taller than 3 stories cover many square miles. List of tallest buildings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Boston. The tallest building in Lexington would be #25 in Boston and #5 in Hartford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Hartford,_Connecticut).

P.S. I've been to UK and Rupp Arena, and I didn't even notice there was a city nearby.

Lexington is a beautiful little town right on the border between Appalachia and the midwest. It's like Nashville for the unimaginitive.

I think he meant the greater Hartford metro region, which is around 1.2M but is basically irrelevant if you're talking about Hartford as an urban area. Connecticut has "real cities." New Haven is a "real city," it's just not the safest, most attractive city around. Doesn't make it not real.

As far as Boston and Lexington, I think you're either being way too charitable to Lexington or entirely too dismissive of Boston.

I think New Haven is very attractive city. It gets a bad rap.

Somewhat related fact- there are 86 buildings in NYC that are taller than the tallest building in Boston.

Bad news - we just lost Briscoe to the University of Hong Kong.

We completely whiffed on the skyscraper metric.

That explains the umbrella he was carrying today.

We could stop arguing about Lexington for a while. This is good news. I thought this door was about closed. Would be great if this worked out.

PS I never said Boston & Lexington were alike.. Just that the population of Lexington was closer to Boston's than Hartford's. But I really don't care about Lexington

I just assume the people that hate on New Haven live in Oxford or something. Totally blind to the assets of our cities.
Your probably right. I've never been to New Haven, how could I ever think that a city 13 hours away could possibly be nicer.

Watch before the National Championship game, the hand shake between the coaches says it all. Calipari is trying to do his typical bullsh__er routine and Ollie was having none of it.

You know you log on to these threads thinking there is actually some information about the recruitment of these kids only to find out people are talking about skylines.

We tend to meander in most every thread. Except the ones about food. We're good at staying focused when we're talking about food. You know that reminds me, I'm kind of hungry....

Speaking of Briscoe,

He has this absolutely disgusting spin move, step-back jumper. I've never seen anything like it before in my life except this (@ 3:00):

And that wasn't in traffic like Briscoe's.

Boogie Briscoe is toughhh...would be an ideal compliment next to JA
My thoughts exactly. He's more of a Dyson-slasher/banger type guard. The guy who gets his nose dirty. Adams is more of a finesse player. I can only imagine a backcourt of Briscoe and Adams in their sophomore seasons...
