This will end up being a tough ticket. The program is on a roll.

Drove by the site on Wednesday. It may only have 2,500 seats but it is a large and impressive building. Has a very stylish look. A nice addition to the athletic quarter.

The size of the building vs the number of seats is only more embarassing. Maybe I shouldn't say seats, since there's only 500 of those.

Love the look but they're going to regret the capacity being under 4k. And not sure about the seats. Older people like me who can be as loud and obnoxious as anybody end up in pain after a few hours without a decent backrest. But will absolutely make a game to test it out. Still going to be a real advantage given the proximity of that bowl to the ice. Nothing like the energy of a loud hockey crowd in a tight game.

If they put actual seats in everywhere I suspect the seating capacity would be lower. You can squeeze more people on bench style seats, just ask Penn State. That’s how they claim the football stadium holds 100k.

They can add sets in the standing room area, if there is demand. I wonder if the game plan on this is a Gampel arena like incremental increase to seating over time.
