I give the school a pretty decent chunk of change and am thinking about pulling back until they get their costs under control. Absolute joke what they are running/ruining in Storrs.

I think we give a decent amount but I'm sure its not impressive to UConn. Two years ago we gave our year end donation to hockey instead of the general fund. Never heard a word from hockey about it. Received the basic form letter thank you. So this year I passed.

On another thread, the hockey trainer won "The Mitchell Family Award". Maybe it's them??

-> The new arena will cost $70 million with $20 million expected to come from private philanthropy. On Saturday, Benedict announced two new gifts for the project. Frank Longobardi, a former UConn hockey player and recently-retired CEO of CohnReznick LLC, donated $1 million while Peter J. Werth, whose name is on UConn’s basketball practice facility as well as a dorm, gave $7.5 million to UConn athletics, $2.5 million of which will go to the rink. <-

No ticket office. Times sure have changed.

It kind of seems to be a combo of Ingalls and QUs rink and actually executed well in design. The upper decks seats look fun.

This is awesome- I wish it was a 5K seater though. I think tix could be hard to come by.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how they handle it. I’m sure $$ will be involved.
