Hines commits!!

LETS GOOOOO!!!! This was my #1 followed by Diop and Thiam to fill the 5 for us. I absolutely love this kid. Hes a beast inside. A demon on the boards, can score in the post and is a monster shotblocker and does so without fouling. If Hurley can close the deal with another big, Freeman, Wilkins and Mullins comes back?!!!! Pre season #1. Thats squad will be scary!

I hate the Portal/NIL stuff from a purist standpoint, but boy it is pretty damn exciting if you are US!! Watch your team being built in 2 weeks.
$15mil in the slush fund will have that effect!

Just hand that team the trophy right now but i think it’s a pipe dream

It all seems realistic - Wilkins might want a bigger role, or he might be good with a 20 minute scorer role as a soph and then take over as a junior when Ball, Mullins and Demary are all gone.

Win the chip, Mullins and Khamenia leave early, Silas and Ball and Ross/Stew leave, then Wilkins, County, Landrew and Hines (the law firm) take over.

I'm already scouting the 27s and 28s when Hiller commits.

Congrats to Hines!

However, I haven't been too up to date about the transfer portal lately, so I apologize for asking but is Hines any good? I wish him the best of luck and will always root for my Huskies, but according to ESPN, he averaged 6.5 and 5.5. Does anyone who watched Seton Hall this year (I was unfortunately working both of those days) know more about him or if he will be a good C? I'm kind of worried we downgraded from Reibe to Hines but really hope to be wrong.

I want a beast of a center that will grab every rebound, fly in for dunks, play lockdown D, and stretch out for the midrange/3.

He put up those numbers in 18 MPG. He had one of the highest offensive rebounding and block rates in the country as a freshman. Improve his conditioning and he's going to be a monster, especially with 2-3 years of development.

I know Hurley has been hesitant to take kids from other BE teams, but I am glad he looked past that here. Hines was perfect for us, and our staff saw what he can do in league play already.
If they are going to leave their school better to keep them in conf. The days of not taking transfer intra conf are looooong gone

Not trying to compare him to Emeka directly (that would be unfair) but in terms of his shot blocking instincts (positioning, timing, etc) specifically I think he is the best shot blocker we've had since Okafor. Absolutely elite in that regard. His film is awesome to watch.

So happy we landed this dude. Welcome Najai!

Better than Thabeet and Clingan???

Naj 👁️ is a great get! One of our issues this year was killer instinct, ability to put teams away. That was partially due to our inconsistent 3 point shooting. I’m curious if we bring in someone with a killer mindset, or someone develops that.
