It was a bad tech by Hurley no doubt, but some of the takes in here really questioning him and being right for our program are just plain dumb
The question has always been what will Dan Hurley do in a tight game, hostile environment, and the refs against you. This is a new year and we need to see a new Hurley. That was an awful T at an awful time. We could've won this one or kept it close and maybe sneak it in the end.I think Hurley still tends to react to the opponents coaching, even when he has the best team and the best weapons. He didn't effectively use his bench today, which is our strength.
We look sluggish late in the game
Cool off dude. Nobody recommended a Clingan Sanogo lineup. More Clingan would have been nice. Also think we can all agree that you miss a player like Johnson in a game like thisAnd a lineup up Clingan and Sanogo would have fixed that? Are you high?
Hurley announced to the world that his feelings are more important than UConn winning.
We’re 14-1 and have been dominating the entire season. Shut up please. This is the boneyard at its absolute worst. We are terrible losersY’all wouldn’t say half the things in person but Hurley stinks but he’s our coach

Would've helped your defense if the players who defend are not saddled with 3-4 fouls.Would’ve helped to play defense.
For all intensive purposes that T didn’t lose the game for us. It was the overall difference at the stripe. And we had that cold game from outside that we said would cause our chances of losing to a good team to increase. No outside allowed the size of x fronts guys to shroud adama. Let’s not act like x does not posses a very good and experienced front line. He’s done this countless times. In an intense game he gifted them points. Just like Andre needs to learn, so does Dan. The moments seem too big for him a lot. Its not a good look
If you think Clingan's defense would have changed this, I don't know what to tell you. And I like Clingan.didn’t say that did I?
Clingan needed more time on the floor for defense purposes. End of story.
Y’all still believe in Hurley ??
Know-nothings have a place to be vocal. How is this board this terrible.
There are other factors with the T. The crowd gets super into it. And they get free points. Pushing it to a 6 point game lost the game. The coach getting a T with 2 minutes left is a terrible look. For all intensive purposes that T didn’t lose the game for us. It was the overall difference at the stripe. Yes on both points....can't get a T in that game at that point....total screw up.Hurley's T just can't happen. It was awful.
His not using the team's greatest asset, it's depth, was just as awful.
A number of plays where no one boxed out, especially late in the gameWould’ve helped to play defense.
We'll just disagree about this. There are no facts either of us can bring to back this up.You said would a better set of refs called it. Yes, because other refs have and he has the reputation. Refs know he does stuff like this.
A+ post. Nice to see an even handed post out here after a loss. They are 14-1. Did anyone think they would have that record at this point? He embarrassed himself tonight. We all knew this was going to be a tough game. Blowing your lineup management and getting a T at the worst possible time is a disgrace.
He's been much, much better this year so far. I think a loud away game in a hostile environment just made him forget all the stuff he changed about his coaching this off-season.
He'll be better next time. Coaches need to improve just like players--it's all a part of the game.
