I’m sure that’s going over well with all those NC coaches. Dawn didn’t just go into the state and pluck the best player (let’s hope she stays a Gamecock), beat all 3 of your teams, but now she’s being crowned the Queen. LOL. It’s really not funny, but it’s funny. Sorry.

Pretty cool.

Hope the Panthers also re-invite a couple of the ladies to pound the ‘Keep Pounding‘ drum like they did with Ty & A’ja back in ‘17. This time they won’t have to share the bill w/ any male MBB players. ;)

Who is that recruit?

Well yall only beat two of my teams.. My Blue Devils and my Aggies,... Seems like yall didnt want any smoke and avoided my purple panthers.

.-.
Charleston proper didn't really have much of a local BBQ scene of any quality 15 years ago outside of Melvins (mustard based and maybe has better burgers) but they've imported one in recent years.

Looked on my google map on the places I want to visit... the BBQ place is called Scott's BBQ in Hemingway.. I guess I would have to take a detour to stop there. I see that there is a Rodney Scott's BBQ in Charleston, so I assume its related.

Yes. Same family. One of the imports.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Two South Carolina reserves in guards Eniya Russell and Elysa Wesolek have entered their names in the transfer portal Friday, less than a week after the Gamecocks celebrated a national championship.

Elysa and Eniya in the portal today per their instagrams.

does that open up 2 spots for Owusu and Reese?

There’s only one open scholarship spot. Doubt either of those two were coming here.

Waiting to see what Littleton does. Spot could go to her. Otherwise, I feel that last spot should be left open unless they can bring Barker into the fold.

Stop please. That makes zero sense.
It makes perfect sense and it comes from a trusted source, how dare you. Obviously Dawn got Fletcher to transfer so that her, Raven and Owusu can share minutes at the point, whereas Reese wanted to join a program that's already overcrowded at her position as well. Lol

Sorry. That is not “obvious” to me.

Might happen but not obviously unless and until it happens

.-.
We just won a national championship - rather handily, I might add - with four starters returning next year and a serviceable replacement for our one graduation departure.

If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.

We do not need Owusu and Reese, even if they’re interested (which is not confirmed).

Oops. My sarcasometer is in the shop
It's all good I thought everyone knew that source was garbage. They were the same ones who said that Cardoso was going transfer to UConn or Auburn last season.

Here's my serious answer to the topic. That projection doesn't make any sense. I could see Owusu because we were missing an experienced PG, but her defense would need to improve, which if she was willing I could have see it happen. But as soon as Fletcher signed on, Owusu didn't made sense. To me Reese never made sense unless both Saxton and Amihere decided to move on.

I would agree that the Cordoso move was an "off the wall" event when it happened but it worked. I would think Barker (is she really in the portal ? ) or Reese could work as well provided they are team players who can accept that sort of role. I think it is unlikely that either would......

GO BACK TO THE PEE DEE!
I have no idea why they have the CSRA identified as ketchup. I was born and raised in the CSRA and I don't know of a single ketchup-based BBQ sauce restaurant here. It's pretty much an even split between mustard and vinegar based sauces. I'll eat both, but I prefer mustard.

Unfortunate, but not surprising Destanni fell into the 2nd round. Good thing is she fell to the Fever where she could have more of an opportunity to make the team and prove herself.

OTOH, might be a bad draft for Alaina as the Fever drafting Smith, Engstler, and Egbo will make it even harder to make the squad - assuming they still bring her to camp which is not guaranteed.

Indiana will be at the bottom of the leave again. Hope Henny can somehow escape that dumpster pit.

Next year the SEC tournament is relocating to Greenville, SC again. Should provide a boost for the program as they'll get home support the entire post season until the Final Four, similar to UCONN this year. Through 3 seasons, the group of seniors are 49-1 playing in South Carolina. I'll be surprised if anyone defeats them in SC next year.
