Does Dawn's new contract make her the highest paid coach in women's college basketball? Are there any other coaches getting paid over $3 million a year?
l believe Geno during the early years of Dawn’s contract might still be the highest paid. I recall his contract tops out at $3.2 mil in its final year. Dawn’s starts @ $2.9, rising each year in $100,000 increments, topping at $3.5 in the last year. I could be wrong on Geno’s contract numbers though. We do know Dawn’s contract tops Mulkey’s.

3Mil is SC goes a bit further than 3 Mil in CT.

Good, that will ensure her place at the top of the SEC pay scale, which is where she should be.

Ahead of Geno? In fairness, if this was a world where performance was rewarded logically, shouldn't he be the highest paid?

Wow! Small world it is! I’m on Broad River all the time eating at Rush’s or Chiki’s lol
When I retired (fire department) I worked at Carolina Wings, Fatz Cafe and Cracker Barrel in Irmo.....retirement wasn't good for me...I was too young to handle it....lol....I had to stay busy. I moved to North Carolina and started a new business. I am about ready to retire again...I think....maybe....

And what does that have to do with 11 National Championships and 13 consecutive Final Fours?
I agree that the best coaches should be the highest paid and I would also agree that Geno should make more than all of them (and he does...or at the very least did)....

Nothing, but Leghorn was just saying that Staley belongs at the top of the SEC pay scale, not the national scale.

My apologies for misreading Leghorn's post and interjecting UConn into the conversation. I guess I'll have to wait until the UConn-South Carolina game to be relevant.

I don't think UConn has to worry about the Trailblazers. Our package is intended to send all other suitors packing. and set the stage for the next decade. Geno is home.

We’ve all got pre-season false starts on our arguing

He will be again when his time for a contract extension comes up And he gets his pay bump.

On her Instagram, 2022’s #3 overall recruit Janiah Barker said she will announce her commitment on Thursday. Hopefully to us.. Wow look at the detail Dawn outs into recruiting, display all the hardware, put the players# [2] on the shot Clock... and the players graduation year on the scoreboard [2022]

Looks like she won’t be taking OV’s to Duke and Louisville. Looking good for USC, though she did seem to enjoy her visits to Oxford and Athens so I wouldn’t be shocked if she went to one of those. She posted much more on IG while on her visit to USC than the other two and she posted a :) about the news of Dawn’s new contract. Fingers crossed we‘re getting our first commit this week!

If y'all get her. I see at least 2-3 Natty's the next few years. Not including this year. She's not on the team lol. But y'all are still my favorites to win

Let us hope. Would love to have her. She will be a big need after next year.

Joni Taylor (UGA) just posted her “Midnight Train to Georgia” tweet so I’m not optimistic.
I think it’s Barker… which would be a REALLY good get for them. Likely a day 1 starter there.
