She does have a lot of connections and will do a home and home with anyone. We’ve been doing this UConn series since before we had any business doing it. The Stanford game was something that was worked on since the FF. I guess next year we will be AT Stanford, AT UConn and AT MD.
I'm definitely considering making that trip to the Bay Area next season.

Yesterday they sent out an e-mail announcing an intra-squad scrimmage next Friday evening. Wonder if that might be it given that they haven’t announced it on Twitter yet?

Frankly, I cant even guess what would be "big news" that Dawn or the school could release at this point. Scheduling? No. Recruiting? No. Unless a recruit announced a commitment that Dawn and the school cant comment on. Transfer in? No room.

They’ve announced the intrasquad scrimmage that fans can attend and also the link for the G-hive which is the fan club for GAMECOCKWBB. There’s some pretty good benefits for joining, especially if you live in Columbia.

I doubt I'll get there by 6:30 coming from work, but I'll be there.

True. But as SC starts to establish itself as a consistent power in WCBB, get ready for other teams to start ducking them.

I sure hope we have three official visits this weekend. Intra squad scrimmage and home football game - perhaps winnable.

I don't think anybody ducks UConn. Amost every program wants to be "in the spotlight" and playing UConn is one sure way to get the light. I'm talking about programs that are strong enough to demand a home and home.

I don’t understand this statement. UConn and South Carolina met first in 2007 in Storrs when Susan Walvius was head coach. That game was the first of a home-and-home series with the game at South Carolina in 2008 being the homecoming game for Kalana Greene. The 2008-2009 season was Dawn’s first as head coach and the UConn game was on the schedule as part of a contractual obligation. The games between the 2 schools didn’t resume until the 2014-2015 season when the first meeting was in Storrs. As I recall, South Carolina was ranked #1 heading in to that game and made the Final Four that season.

Amiyah Ferguson: Alot of SC Girls BB Prep Coaches are singing her praises. Attends a very tiny high school [single A] but she dominates

Just for starters, both Stanford, Maryland and Duke (although Kara may start it again) ended their series with UConn. And Syracuse refused to play UConn for Stewie's homecoming game. And UConn almost always agrees to a home and home.

Over the last 8 seasons - beginning with the 2013-14 season (a total of 152 ranked weeks by the AP):

Most weeks ranked #1

Connecticut: 92
South Carolina: 25
Notre Dame: 11
Stanford: 9
Baylor: 8

Most weeks ranked in top 5:

Connecticut: 150
Notre Dame: 100
South Carolina: 95
Baylor: 92
Louisville: 79

Most weeks ranked in top 10:

Connecticut: 152
Baylor: 149
Louisville: 129
South Carolina: 127
Notre Dame: 115

I wonder when we will establish ourselves as a consistent power???

At UConn, we have a slightly longer perspective than 8 years.

And frankly, it took more than 8 seasons before Stanford, Maryland and Duke started to duck us.
