Freeman possible visiting friday

Total bully ball - it worked for Boozer, but he did it in more surgical way. He's not quite as big as Boozer, but more athletic. Doesn't strike me as nearly as smart.

There’s not much on the court he can’t do. His bully ball isn’t like a Julius Randle or Cam Boozer. He’s the size he is while also having some really good agility to go with it. Haven’t seen a kid with his ability to move and rise up like he does in years.

Also super underrated passer. Hes a 6’7 235 legitimate 2G. But of course will be able to play the 3 and 4 because of his size if a team needs it.

He's an elite elite prospect but because of his maturity issues that will naturally get better as he gets older, it seems like he’s not getting the hype that he should be getting.

Lesson is that Trilly has very little clue when talking about UConn or Kentucky. Seems to be the two schools he’s least accurate on

That seems to be the case.

Never stops him from talking though.

I am a little amazed at how under the radar Dan Hurley seems to be able to fly - he got the Duke kid to campus without anyone knowing there was any interest.

After the Nowell disaster I don't think Hurley will ever trust a freshman PG to be the backup point. At least have a third, veteran PG. Especially since County seems like a combo guard more than a true point guard.
While he played only a bit of point and a lot of off guard, I would say Castle showed a freshman can run this offense just fine. But your point has merit in that it’s either got to be a very special incoming freshman or a ln experienced veteran to handle point guard duties. I could see the staff willing to bring in a high school point guard rated maybe in the top 75 or 100 with the understanding that they’re going to do a lot of learning in year 1 and not a ton of playing.

How many non-moderated threads of any length do you recall staying on topic?

My sense is the maturity issues aren't going to go away with age, and they'll surface in his one year. He's an unusual kid. Feels highly combustible.

You mean 3rd team NBA in his second year Steph Castle. Got it.

He has a really good team around him and part of the reason he went to Rainer Beach is to have Jamal Crawford as a mentor.

He’ll be fine.

@BigErnMcCracken when I say part of the reason I mean when it went to choosing a new school. Not why he left ND in the first place. Have no idea about that situation.

Hearing that Khamenia playing a leverage move to get more NIL from Duke. Duke not doing well in the portal and wants to retain him. I hope we don't get played by both Freeman and Khamenia. Also, very quiet on a backup point guard. Does Hurley plan on making do with Solo and Ross if Demary is injured or in foul trouble?
Where did you "hear" this?

It really bugs me when people on here say "hearing" like they have some kind of inside information. If you've read it somewhere, from Trilly or something like that, just say where you got the information from.

Of all the rumors being spread im most looking forward to seeing how this one ages and checking back in with the source

I agree with everything you said except Greg from sleepers. He’s very biased against UConn and it clouds his judgement about our team .
I disagree. I like Greg and Carter. Yes, they are not UConn fans, so what do you expect? It is amazing how many people on here see bias - in refs, media guys...well in everyone - who doesn't somehow bleed blue. If all you want to UConn love, then listen to Zanetto, and try not to blow your brains out.

He's obviously a very good player. I'm skeptical that he'll have the kind of impact of a Boozer in year one but I'm usually wrong. I didn't think Brandon McCoy was all that good and he'll probably crush it at Michigan.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be changed to Freeman No Longer Visiting UConn or just shutting down this one altogether?

I don’t think he’ll be Boozer. Boozer is a generational winner (except against us haha). But I think Boozer is a super high floor guy and not a high ceiling. I’m personally not high on his superstar potential at the next level. Could be wrong and he becomes like the Jokic of PFs.

I’m not sure how Stokes will affect winning in college. But I expect him to be super productive and he has every tool to be a superstar at the next level. To me, there’s no reason he can’t be an Anthony Edwards level player. But it’s on him to do the work to get there (not to say he isn’t).

I don’t have much of an opinion on McCoy. But I think Dusty will be good for him.

I expect Greg to give unbiased college basketball coverage if this is the profession he chooses. I like Carter but Greg sucks

How did Hurley and co whiff so badly on Nowell? Obviously going for an undersized PG was probably not the greatest idea in hindsight, but what did they see in him that they thought could make up for his size deficiency?
Nobody bats 100. Nowell was the pivot after we missed on Pettiford

I mean a top 10 recruit might get an opportunity to handle minutes at point guard, while a top 30-50 recruit likely won’t. It would need to be almost a can’t miss prospect to get that level of trust. Got it?

This would diabolical if true. Sinister

We speak the same language, but I'd have to disagree on Greg. He is not neutral on them, he is deliberately anti. I think he's had some run in with UConn twitter that has soured him on UConn as a whole. He'll thus go out of his way to

The channel just has too many hot takes. Greg beating the “Tarris sucks” drum for like two full years when it was obvious how good he had become. There was another guy that for months wouldn’t shut up about how he thought Malachi smith would start and Demary would come off the bench and wasn’t very good (which was just as dumb of a take back then as it is now).

Same guy - Greg. He throws a lot of passive aggressive daggers out there. He was sitting on the KenPom all year, saying we're not that good. It was good to shut him up and go 3-1 against the B10, even though we lost in the final to his team.

Nah, this was another dude that does some of their other videos. Greg at least seems somewhat knowledgeable about the sport. The other guy just seems like you have a random person commenting in a FB comment section a microphone.

I know who you're talking about - bearded guy and total joker, knows nothing. He's like their Benny Hill.
