Updated the 2023 consensus rankings since HoopseenW has changed the rankings previously posted on ASGR

Are there any 6' 5'' or 6' 6" strong centers being considered by UConn and hotly pursued? Seems like we have a lot of Guards joining the Team and wondered if we are going to get some real height.

Not a lot of players that tall in general much less elite prospects.

UConn is recruiting 6'4 Adhel Tac for '24.

A 6'5" physical big like Dolson or a 6'4" 4/5 like Stewie would be just fine. UConn has always been at its best when its 4's and 5's run the court and are able to play multiple roles (pass, shoot, pick, etc.) in UConn's motion offense.

I think Kate Koval could be a good fit; she is solid at rebounding, blocks shots and has a good outside shot. UConn has interest in her, her team has a very high level schedule, they have played 10 games against teams ranked in the top 25 of ESPN, MaxPreps or Blue Star and 5 of the other 7 games were against top 10 states (NJ, MD, DC, PA). This is one of only two juniors left on the roster for the Naismith high school POY.

What is the prevailing thought on recruits knowing how depleted Connecticut is right now and does it have an impact on their decision-making? Is it a positive in that we are still doing so well with so few or did they just see the struggles Connecticut is having

Fingers crossed that Tina joins the staff next season. Helping recruit a big from her alma mater could do us wonders.
Does she have to join the staff to help recruit?

any idea why ESPN does not show anything about Ziebell picking UConn? I know they hate us, but this seems silly and petty. Do they really think that if they don't show it she may change her mind, or other recruits won't find out. In the first clip of Fisher it appears she jogs back on defense after her bucket. Geno will have to fix that.

Because it’s just a verbal commitment. It’s not binding on either party and Allie could change her mind and go elsewhere. (I hope not, but it’s happened before). It would be irresponsible to celebrate a verbal

I think what Ralph means is why is UConn not listed as her school on their list which happens after a verbal announcement, and I believe they just haven't updated recently. Shane Laflin runs the operation now and he's anything but anti-UConn.
