If ST. Johns was smart they would settle this right now. Watch them go the UConn route and totally botch it though.
I think they will handle it better than UConn did Ollie. That said, isn't it impossible for them to "go the UConn route" since they are a private school and don't have to jump through the same union-related hoops that our state school did (or should have done)? If ST. I don’t know how realistic the comparison to Connecticut really is. UConn includes its coaches in its teachers union collective-bargaining agreement, and that produced a quirky result where the NCAA compliance provisions were completely written out of the agreement.I think they will handle it better than UConn did Ollie. He said he wants to coach until 80A 6 year deal at age 70?
I get that, for recruiting purposes, he has to make it look like he'll be around a while, but come on.
He’s starting to look like a Vampire.Cripes Rick,
Get a pub photo that makes you look like you are still alive!!
Pitino to St. John's. 6 year deal.
He will be 71 in September. He also said he wants to coach to 80+. Who does that? There are only a handful of coaches who are even 70.A 6 year deal at age 70?

Yup, the BE has 3 teams in the Sweet 16 and they are dominating the college basketball news cycle during the off day(s) between the 2nd round and Sweet 16.An all time day in the Big East. Next season is going to be a bloodbath in the league. As it deserves to be.
Good thing for the league. Possibly a good thing for us. Definitely not a good thing for those who clean up at Italian restaurants in NYC.he’ll be a thorn in our side, but i think it’s a good thing for the league and us.
