End of the block C?

First, check out this link.
UConn helmet history

Second, the dirty little secret of the “block C” is that it is the last remaining remnant of the Aeropostal uniforms

So when people pain away for the “traditional” of the block C, there really pining away for the days when Aeropostal made our uniforms.

I think the return to the traditional blue block C was overall a good move but probably tarnished by its association with HCRE 2.0/seemingly the only change he was interested in making. If we win again it won't matter

If this was an actual photo I'm surprised this block C never made it onto a helmet.

I’ve never seen that before. Do you have a link to the site?

Was it cost effective to put a logo on that type of leather?

Logo first appears in 1964

“The Football C”

Also, in an interesting turn of events, we have another famous alumnus:

For comedy, look at Oregon's page on that site - LOL

Oregon has certainly done the most with the least. The ducks. Not Mallards. Not Teals. Not Pintails. Just ducks.

I think Block C is a cool look and has some good history with winning associated with UConn Football, but would rather have the Husky.

For our entire department, the Husky is our primary logo. Block C isn't used for every other sport. Hook C is used in baseball, but that's been on their uniform dating back to the '40s? Correct me if I'm wrong.

UConn needs to work on building the football brand back up, and having a consistent logo that people will know represents UConn is the way to do it. I lean Husky since personally I just think it looks better and is sleek, and is unique from other state schools that just have the first letter of the state on their helmet. Michigan "M", Nebraska "N", Minnesota "M". Florida mainly uses the Gator, and every so often the "F" on their helmets as alternates.

I'm cool with having Block C alternates, but for like 1-2 games (like Florida). Not half of the games in the season (gotta be consistent with the brand). FWIW, I like blue helmets with husky with white and blue uniforms. No white helmets, imo.

UConn could have coaches rock the Block C like Dabo does with Clemson (while they wear the tiger paw logo).

Is there a way to donate money and not see Block C posts?

The blue looks so pedestrian to me. No character. Everyone has their like and dislikes i guess. I like Buffalo's blue helmets better
Tell that Pedestrian look to Penn State fans. It's not what you look like, in fancy uniforms, its HOW YOU PLAY.

I love Penn State's white helmets. And yeah, no uniform combo is preferred over team performance but i didn't know anyone here was discussing that.

If you have to resort to discussing uniforms, instead of your teams performances, then there's a good chance your team is pretty poor.

#4 LSU - "One of the truly unique helmet designs. I love having Louisiana State's letters and the logo on the helmet."

Block C and the Husky. Anyone? Or:

On another note: I bought 2 car magnets of this same size at the Co-Op a couple of years ago to slap on the side of my car when tailgating. While the idea was good, in actuality the magnets need to be 3-4 times larger for the casual passersby to notice them. I asked at various kiosks at the RENT if they were carried in a larger size, explaining this, and, of course was told that management didn't think there was a market for larger "refrigerator magnets".
