You would have to quantify "high profile" to get an accurate answer.
UCONN transfers in last 2 years (Edwards, Boykin, & Banks)
UNC transfers in the past 2 Years ( Mavunga, DeShields, Washington, & Gray)
Louisville transfers in the past 2 Years ( Cole, Deines)
Duke transfers in the past 2 Years (Calhoun, Jones, Holland, Salvadores & Stevens) * Lexi Brown transferred in.
Kentucky transfers in the past 2 Years (Goodin-Rogers, Harper, Rowe & Rich)
Baylor transfers in past 2 years (Small, Buckner, Wright)

Thanks. Did they ever release where Kyvin Goodin-Rogers transferred to? She was pretty good at Kentucky..

Does coach JPM survive this?

Is her contract up yet? Her contract goes thru 2018-2019. Think she is getting around 600k a year. Doubt they let her go early...

I think I read somewhere that she has one more year left on the contract.

By my count, Duke now has 9 returnees and 1 recruit coming in?

Brown (Jr) - Lambert (So) - Primm (So) - Greenwell (Jr) - Chidom (Sr) as a small starting 5?
Slocum (Fr) - Gorecki (So) - Suggs (So) - Belton (So) - Mathias (Jr) on the bench

Duke has also had a lot of injuries. They better hope for some health.

Orang, sounds like Azura wants to win a championship of some kind. " I feel it would be best for my basketball career to go in a different direction."......Many kids realize , sometimes late , that they really want to be on that BIG stage and win a trophy and championship of some kind before their college career is over. They know that they may have Pro potential , but they want to handle that NCAA Championship Trophy just once before their college career is over. In many respects you can't blame them.
Stop. We aren't going to speculate about what a player is thinking or feeling. It is a slippery slope that only leads down hill.

just looked it up, 3 year left...

Yep, you're right; through 2018-19. That's a long time on a sinking ship.

This is a shocker for sure. The Duke AD really needs to take a long, hard look on keeping JPM. She is driving the program into irrelevance fast.

As to Stevens, would really like to see her in a UCONN uniform but I don't expect it to happen.

You are missing Kendall Cooper who might return to the team at some point.

I fully expect Stevens to go somewhere most of us aren't expecting...

Maybe a Cal or Michigan.. Cal based on her friendship with Anigwe.. Michigan because of Barnes-Arrico, her former coach.

Transfer season has not been kind to my Gamecocks this year.. but something about it gets my excitement levels up anyway. I just hope we've lost everybody we're going to lose.

It is hard to t

Washington
O.K. I have the flu! I can't figure out why I could not edit my original post or why the quote here is incomplete. Anyway, it appears I included "Washington" as the fifth transfer when Washington was already on the list.

Was thinking same thing reference Cal. Anigwe, Stevens, & Inoescu would be quite the trio!

Would be fun if there was some west coast school that consistently got a big chunk of the west coast talent the way that Baylor and Texas have got much of the top Texas talent in the last few classes. Can't be Stanford because some kids won't have the grades.

Maybe Cal could be that team. Purely for entertainment value, I want Ionescu to choose Cal. I would make it a point to stay up late to watch her and Anigwe play together.

Salvadores was absolutely amazing while playing for Spain. Did not shine for Duke, but perhaps because of nagging injuries.

Connecticut's transfers are largely understandable. Brianna Banks left because it was clear she wouldn't get playing time. Another kid went to St. John's in order to be closer to home. EDD, well, we all know that story. Then the kid who went to Kentucky after a few weeks at UConn. The only troubling/regrettable transfer, IMHO, was Boykin. She was virtually the only really highly rated recruit to bail. She would have played a lot. She was tall. Sad to see her go.

Having said that, Coach Geno virtually never permits transfers in. Has he ever explained his philosophy on in-transfers?

Oregon might be that WC school. Have you seen Oregon 2016 recruiting class? Add Inoescu to that class and you might really have something.
PS
Ever heard of DVR? It might help you NOT have to stay up late.

Not as if Coach McCallie hasn't produced in the past: http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4200&ATCLID=873345

"The ACC Coach of the Year in 2010, 2012 and 2013, head coach Joanne P. McCallie enters her ninth season at the helm of the Blue Devils’ program. In just eight years, Coach P has guided the program to a 225-53 overall record, a 100-22 mark in ACC action and eight NCAA Tournament selections, including a No. 1 seed in 2009 and four straight Elite Eight appearances from 2010-13. She led Duke to four consecutive ACC regular season titles in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and three ACC Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Her 82.0 winning percentage in ACC contests ranks first on the conference’s all-time coaching charts. Meanwhile, Coach P’s winning percentage of 80.9 in all games is first among active coaches in the ACC.

"On the recruiting trail, McCallie brought in back-to-back No. 1 classes in 2010 and 2011, as well as the No. 1 class in 2015. She secured the No. 2 classes in 2013 and 2014. Duke has also signed 13 different players who have played in the McDonald’s All-America game, including seven over the last five years."

Different story for Tennessee...

I believe it was Gail Goestenkors who was the coach at Duke who did not deal with Brittney Hunter's knee injury. UConn took their former recruit in a minute when Hunter said she wanted to come. But she was permanently hobbled, and, while brilliant while she was in the game, couldn't play for more than a few minutes at a time.

Really sad to see that sort of permanent pain and injury to a person so young.

Wait for it wait for it ... It being the part where Cam jumps in and drops jems about how/where/why coach JPM has underachieved. @CamrnCrz1974, your on!

DVR would cost another $10 a month and I pay too much for tv as it is - thanks Comcast.

I wonder what's going through Lexie Brown's head right now....
That transfer in particular was always strange to me... why on earth would you leave Maryland who will likely be top 5-10 for the next 3 - 5 years at minimum where you went to back to back FF for Duke... never understood it. Now it just looks sad.

1. Why are you transferring is the first issue. Why should he invest in you if you bailed on another program. (Lots of legit reasons, and he has taken Hunter from Duke and now Butler, but ...)

2. It takes time to develop a player, does he get enough time (Rita Williams, Hunter, and Butler and a couple who bailed all had three years of eligibility.) Two years even with a year of sitting may be too short - but Stevens has a lot of talent to work with so I would say a maybe - Lexi Brown I doubt he would have been interested in because of the 'one year rental')

3. Need - does the team really want to invest in a shorter team player or is there someone he can get in a year that will be comparable and he gets for four years.
