Feel better Dorka.
Agreed. These kids spend many more hours and take a lot more pounding in practice. How many times have the kids said practice is tougher than the games?Objectively I think the statistics would say no. I would argue you get x number of foot injuries per so many minutes. Who is playing those minutes is not significant since for a 40 minute game there are only 5 players on the court at a time for a total of 200 player minutes spread over x number of players. And that would only apply to game injuries. From what I've observed as a fan, just about all "stress reactions" (and I think most all injuries) arise from practice activities and not from game play.
I agree with this although the stats-based approach needs to consider the variable minutes played per foot and not the fixed minutes available in a game... Makes sense though that practice is where the wear accumulates.Agreed. These kids spend many more hours and take a lot more pounding in practice. They why are you not satisfied by the statement?I have never wanted personal information about the players. The games are broadcast and played in public. A lot of people get charged to see the games. Simple " ankle injury anticipated return tba" would suffice. Not really worth arguing over. Sorry.
I'm not. Are you that desperate for an argument? They why are you not satisfied by the statement?
" A UConn spokesperson confirmed Juhász is listed as day-to-day for the upcoming week." Juhász was shown on the sideline during the game with a boot on her right foot."

UConn women’s basketball defeats Providence without Dorka Juhász
The graduate transfer sat out Sunday’s game and is day to day with a foot injury.www.greenwichtime.com
I'm not. Why so thirsty for information that is clearly none of your business?I'm not. Are you that desperate for an argument?

I share that concern about Nike Shox, Coco, IMO it's the elevated heel of the shoe that prevents sufficient weight and impact distribution; a lot of people who know more than me about these things say that the shoe is biomechanically unsound and leads to knee and back complications... My niece had several players on her HS team who used Shox as their team shoe have knee problems...To this day I still believe Nike Shox were partially responsible for my daughter's injury when she was in HS. It was the team sneaker so we went along with it. Before the end of the season we had 2 other teammates go down with knee injuries. We didn't make the connection until Vince Carter who had endorsed the shoe also wend down with and injury and complained.
Start Ono. We need to get off the right foot in this game. Edwards struggles to score and is prone to turnovers.

ONO is already a starter unless there is 2 of her. AE don’t get the ball enough to struggle to score and everyone on the team struggle to score except CD.
Because they generate a lot of revenue for their school, the UConn women's basketball team is, at the least, semi-pro. That's what NIL is about. Related injuries to athletes, to whom you're [indirectly] paying good money, deserves a modicum of transparency, eh?The Huskies are a collection of college players, not pros. Accepting a scholarship doesn’t mean giving up their right to privacy. Just because fans want to know about their private lives doesn’t make it our business.
Would you be OK with your employer or insurance company releasing details of your injuries or illnesses?
What are you going to do with the information…. bet on the other team? I can wait till game time to see who plays and who’s in a boot. Which leads me to wonder why no one on this team has an NIL with a boot and crutch company.Because they generate a lot of revenue for their school, the UConn women's basketball team is, at the least, semi-pro. Curious here. If this is a known or proven issue with these shoes, why haven't any of the shoemakers been sued?I share that concern about Nike Shox, Coco, IMO it's the elevated heel of the shoe that prevents sufficient weight and impact distribution; a lot of people who know more than me about these things say that the shoe is biomechanically unsound and leads to knee and back complications... As a goat farmer, thanks for the gif.Thirsty

Has anyone from the Huskies confirmed that Dorka's injury is in fact this?Found this info, that may help explain a "Stress Reaction" and / or Stress Fracture: How much time does it take for a foot stress reaction to recover? -
I'm no attorney but I think the burden of proving that the proximate cause of injury is directly related to the shoe, and nothing else., is considerably steep...Curious here. If this is a known or proven issue with these shoes, why haven't any of the shoemakers been sued?
A " UCONN Spokesman" made an announcement/statement.Because they generate a lot of revenue for their school, the UConn women's basketball team is, at the least, semi-pro. That's what NIL is about. not sure about that...............bench rest isn't part of Geno's vocabulary.........I would expect several players to sit for a game or 2 once Bueckers gets back. Westbrook has been playing long minutes and her knee could use a break. I'd guess that Juhasz's injury didn't just appear at DePaul and has been with her for longer. Nagging injuries become a fact of life this time of year.

I'd guess it will come on Thursday ahead of Friday's Butler game.Strange there wasn’t a pregame media Zoom today.
Do you get paid by your employer? Does that give them the right to discuss your personal business?Because they generate a lot of revenue for their school, the UConn women's basketball team is, at the least, semi-pro. If your medical situation affects what you do for your employer, I would say, "yes" .. a slippery slope, fore sure, eh?Do you get paid by your employer? Does that give them the right to discuss your personal business?
Is that your interpretation of “day to day”?I doubt if Dorks plays for a while. It may even not be this year but hopefully we get her back before March.

Kind of make sense, you can't get to next year without going day by day.UConn has games 2/2, 2/4, 2/6, 2/9, 2/11, 2/13. I'd say that the bench will play. But then with a schedule like that there isn't time for practice so maybe the players are looking forward to it as a break.not sure about that...............bench rest isn't part of Geno's vocabulary.........![]()

Geno's past actions lead me to believe that non injured starters play for three and a half quarters even against the Little Sisters of the Poor........UConn has games 2/2, 2/4, 2/6, 2/9, 2/11, 2/13. I'd say that the bench will play. But then with a schedule like that there isn't time for practice so maybe the players are looking forward to it as a break.![]()
