No loud complaining about the very high % of institutional support to the AD?Hopefully this happens. They were conference mates before UConn moved up to FBS.

That makes no sense. Their move has been rumored for years, it literally just changed, and they are thr 1st school to pay the new fee.It didn't seem worth it when it was only a $5000 decision?
Yeah but before it was only a $5000 decision, barely even meaningful. But now it's a half million dollar decision. You have to pay attention to those things. That makes no sense. Their move has been rumored for years, it literally just changed, and they are thr 1st school to pay the new fee.
Its not half a million decision its a 5 million dollar decision. That's why its so crazy to me. You could have upgraded and paid 5k, instead you drag your feet and pay 5 million? Something is very off about that.Yeah but before it was only a $5000 decision, barely even meaningful. But now it's a half million dollar decision. You have to pay attention to those things.
A $5 million decision makes it even more important. Much more important than a $5000 decision! Its not half a million decision its a 5 million dollar decision. That's why its so crazy to me. I don't get what you're saying here. Had they announced their intention to move last year it would have cost them 5k. By waiting it is costing them 5 million. That's 4,995,000 they could have saved and maybe applied it somewhere in the fb program.A $5 million decision makes it even more important. Much more important than a $5000 decision!
I'm saying nothing, nothing at all. Pretty much just making a joke that it was the same decision whether the exit fee was 5000 or 5 million, but once it became 5 million it seemed more important.I don't get what you're saying here. Again this has been rumored UD for at least 3 to 5 years if not longer.
I'm assuming they needed time to sort out the conference.. perhaps preferring somewhere other than C-USA and that option never materializedI don't get what you're saying here. I really want to know why they waited to upgrade until the feel increased to 5 million when it was previously 5 thousand. Doesn't seem like a good way to spend resources. Any ideas on your end?
Delaware got crushed in the second round of the FCS playoffs by second seeded Montana last night.
Gonna be a long, long time until Delaware plays another playoff game.
They’ve already raised $3.5m+ towards the projected $6m needed for NCAA entry/conference exit fees.Delaware likely didn't have an invite last year. That's why they'll eat the 5 million.
Probably not as long as us.Delaware got crushed in the second round of the FCS playoffs by second seeded Montana last night.

Like Liberty?True but not many schools are as foolish as we are to brave FBS football as an Indy in this day and age.
Liberty sued to move up. You normally do need an invite.Like Liberty?

Like Liberty?
Yes, but it took control of its destiny and did it alone, direct to Indy without support from a conference and in defiance to the FBS rule.Even Liberty was smart enough to eventually join a conference.
Not sure where you are going with this, or what it has to do with my post that you quoted. No loud complaining about the very high % of institutional support to the AD?
