Youse disagreein' wit' me?
Yah, but in a nice way....
Youse disagreein' wit' me?
Want to know something interesting. If you made a similar post to the one you made regarding Aja on the men's bb forum you would have received a lot of support. That is the difference between there and here.unless you are in lock step with all of the "regular" posters, or clear your post with them first. Or expect to be attacked from all sides.......Friendly site.

However the rebuttal from those who disagreed with you would be far greater and more intense than anything this site dishes out. Over there people get chewed up and spit out even when things are going great. The badly wounded come over here to mend.
Excuse me, but he started this thread because of his original post disparaging the recruit and how he was treated. It is certainly relevant here.Wow, DD. Seriously waspish today, eh what?
In this thread, he disparaged the Boneyard, not a recruit. You brought that (and your attitude about it) over here.
Not really.Apples and oranges
Patty, if you've found nothing but respectful discussions around this board its obvious you haven't been around us long enough yet. I'll check back in with you around mid March.
Without even visiting the men's board, I don't doubt it. That's the stuff of most message boards.HP's castigation in the original thread came from his derogatory attribution of feelings & motivations to a person of whom he has no personal (and slight impersonal) knowledge.
This would have been supported on the men's board???

Waspish? That is the first time this Jewish guy has ever been called that.
I read the original HP post in the other thread and made a comment in that thread disagreeing with him. Your description of his post is accurate imo.HP's castigation in the original thread came from his derogatory attribution of feelings & motivations to a person of whom he has no personal (and slight impersonal) knowledge.
This would have been supported on the men's board???
I think so, too, and was going to ask him what was going on.Fair enough on your point.
Still think you're grumpier than usual today, tho.
I have a medical procedure tomorrow. I'm a little off.Fair enough on your point.

Definitely, something fishy. Don't Monkey with me.Has anyone made fun of his hat yet?
I'm kinda late to the party and I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
No it would not. A post like that of the #1 player in the class (say Andrew Wiggins from last year) would have been met with much more vitriol. He also would have been hung.HP's castigation in the original thread came from his derogatory attribution of feelings & motivations to a person of whom he has no personal (and slight impersonal) knowledge.

I've observed a lot of commentary in this forum that are opinions and not necessarily fact based. For instance Stef taking three's vs. playing in the post. That's the primary type of discussion that takes place in the men's forum and the discussion is very informative. It's the tonality of the language that is different. People just express themselves and are not concerned if the manner they speak will be condoned or attacked. I like a little spice in people so that behavior doesn't offend me.Without even visiting the men's board, I don't doubt it. That's the stuff of most message boards.
Why I visit this board - the "community" as described above doesn't tend to support out-on-a-limb statements that are not supported by fact.

IN DEFENSE OF “RUDE”
Husky Bill said, I think ..."I like interesting posters"...many times edgy posts of varying intensity qualify as "interesting" If our Mod Squad allows a post, so be it. Imagine if all posters were like me, vanilla and vacuous.
