UCF this Fall will not be the same team, it was when it CLAIMED a national title. 1-3 if they're lucky to win one against Stanford, Washington, USC, and Arizona next Fall. My point is the PAC 12 is still a very strong conference period. One off year in men's basketball is not a reason to not call it a Power 5 conference anymore.
Wrong. Teams will have up and down cycles. Power Conferences do not. An entire conference going down the tubes mean the conference does not have power. #AACPower5 #DoYouEvenSquatBro?

.-.
We need the AAC to be viable. Aside from Women's Bball, of late UCONN has been a letdown and a drag on the conference.
Well other than hockey
and baseball,
and field hockey (I'm not saying this is best way to end this post, but it has to be in here)...

Wasn't referring to Hockey East, Olympic sports, golf, the band or cheer leading. As far as the money sports go, UCONN,
has been underwhelming and quite disappointing.

Gonzaga being close to joining Mountain West and leaving West Coast Conf is definitely noteworthy. They'd be leaving behind St Mary's & BYU for UNLV, Nevada, Colorado St, San Diego St, New Mexico, etc.

The MWC is rated No. 9 in conference RPI by CBS Sports, third-best among mid-major conferences. The WCC has an RPI of 14. Impact = Mountain West, American Conf, & (New) Big East are closing the gap on the "Power 5" conversation. Sure the TV payouts aren’t equitable but these leagues are formidle.

The New Big East will always be small potatoes for the simple fact that they do not play FBS football.
