Nice win. Nobody got hurt. Held them to 37% and 23%. 22 assists is great. Rebounding and free throw shooting could have been better. Bench got some run. Would like to see Demary look for his points a little more but 9 assists and 6 rebounds pretty good for your point guard. Nice to see Ross knock down a couple of threes. If he can come off the bench and hit a couple of those.. Would like to see more from Stew who seemed more active and involved than his box score. Reibe is pretty nice for a young bench center. There is great potential there.

The chat room was full of fans slicing their wrists. And wanting Eric Reibe slingshotted toward the sun.
One guy said Hurley needs to stop selling books and get back to the gym and work.

BYU not playing super great so far. I think we should win this one, and I'm just dying to know who/how we guard AJD.

Great first half, Ross' best half of his career. Bummer to see him disappear in the second half, as it shows the inconsistency we all come to know.

Reed/Demary/Smith/Ball/AK look like they're ready.

Reibe is concerning - he lools like a fawn out there right now. Let's just hope his backup minutes are against their backup 5. Stew was non existent.
AJ is gonna drop 30 and probably still lose, we just have nobody remotely capable of matching up with him if he’s feeling it. Stew and Ross probably get to be the sacrificial lambs there, id try to keep the fouls off Demary/Ball/Karaban.

Who gets the Richie Saunders assignment?

why? He had good moments and bad moments which is normal for a freshman center. 2nd half was very disappointing because we have seen what they CAN do.
He’s struggling with the physicality that low major and Ivy League teams can offer. It’s only getting tougher from here. Gotta hope these games are just what he needs to adjust by conference play.

Reibe is fine at this point. Once Reed gets back to 30+ minutes and Reibe is at 10 minutes, it's a plus for the team. 4 points and 4 rebounds is in the wheel house. There were times where they left him on an island (which you can do with Reed, but not Reibe). A little help defense would be useful there. But overall, I was fine with a tall freshman holding his own for the most part and he will get better finishing as the season progresses.

I think so, I also think we'll see a lot of Silas and Malachi together guarding Saunders and Robert Wright III.
Heavily agreed, especially if Wright is cooking Solo. It’s just gonna be hard to matchup with all these dangerous perimeter threats given our defensive personnel.

Yeah Wright is gonna be a tough matchup for Solo if we go that way. He is quick
I think the game-plan might be let Wright beat us, help Solo especially at the rim if you’re Reed/Reibe. Getting the ball away from AJ and Richie is first priority.

He provides very little rim protection or rebounding presence - can see teams attacking him if he's in there. We shall see - not super confident about his 10 minutes.

Ho Hum. Fun in parts, boring in others. Like a summer movie action thriller.

Other than the big 3, I thought Silas played great. Have to admit, I'm a little worried about Malachi dribbling too much and fruitless jumping into the trees. Did that a couple times in the final minutes.

I really hope when UConn plays SJU, Hurley and Pitino talk to the refs before the game, and tell them just let Zuby and Tarris go at each other and swallow the whistle.

I'd love to watch those two go at on both ends of the floor for 30 minutes.
