Tremont Waters is averaging 3 steals per game?? Damn. He's picked a couple Cougar pockets already in this game.

One area of his game where his height helps.

Yes only home. I think we'll be favored by that point (KenPom has us currently 2 point underdogs).

You think we’ll get that much better?

Is it bad I’m rooting against Houston? I think the American proved itself enough in non conference play. Better than expected

Funny to see you quoting @auror as you guys are so often in sync with the same (good) opinions that I often confuse the two of you, even with the different handles. I think they are a little overrated and I do think we improve so I agree with him.

Houston making a bit of a run, keyed mostly by defense. +10 last few minutes. Up 5 (edit now 7).

That arena is so loud. Having Harden and Bregman there is quite the recruiting tool in the future. This conference might be improving

Houston takes the lead. LSU with no playmakers without Waters (who is too small as is).

Waters hasn't been great, but LSU was awful with him on the bench for that stretch.

He just launched a 40 foot 3 with 24 seconds left of the shot clock. Bailed out by teammate oreb and getting fouled.

Next possession Naz Reid air balls a 3.

Next posssession, Smart tries a contested 30 footer with 20 seconds on the clock.

Next possession, Waters launches a step back contested 25 foot 3 with 20 seconds on the clock.

Not how you win.

Houston and cincy clear number 1 and 2. Houston Memphis and UConn can be monster programs in the future. As of this year UConn clearly behind Houston and Cincinnati at least, probably UCF as well.

.-.
Coogs stay undefeated. Should climb a bit, with teams like Nova dropping to Penn.

Sampson just knows how to close.

A Houston win tonight is a good thing. They will be a tough out unless a couple of guys up front become more consistent contributors. Coach 'em up Coach!
