College Basketball Discussion 12.11.2018-12.17.2018

Seton Hall is the best team in the Big Least by a long shot. Seton hall is a sweet 16 team imo.
Meh. They lost to Nebraska by 23 and St. Louis at home (solid but not tremendous teams IMO). Wins over Miami and UK by a total of 3 points. They might be solid but I don't think they're the best in the Big East "by a long shot".

OK Nova stinks. I have a feeling a win over them will not count as a "good win" come March.

Miami has lost to Yale and Rutgers. They aren't a quality win at this point.

Disagree. Beating Villanova on a neutral floor will be a positive on our resume no doubt. Just may not have been what it was thought at the beginning of the year.

Big East is wide open this year and Villanova has the most talent of anyone in the league. They'll put it together.

yeah I just didn't know who else to put when their wins are UK Miami Grand Canyon New Hampshire Wagner and Hawaii. Maybe Grand Canyon on a neutral floor is better than Miami at home. Maybe.

Regardless I was just responding to the "Seton Hall is the best in the Big East by a long shot" and disagreeing. Think they're a very average team.

I root for Seton Hall but nah.

Powell is great but they need to have Taurean Thompson and Cale turn into studs for this to be true.

And won 2 of the last 3 national titles.

Furman is #23 in the country.
Furman is 23 because they beat a bad Loyola (Chicago) team on the road by 2 and won @ Nova who's going to be unranked next week.

If Furman finishes the season in the top 25 I'll eat my hat.

What was the point of your post?

Was responding to the Furman being ranked comment like it makes it a good loss. If an AAC team lost to Furman we'd rip them to shreds no matter the perception of how good the Paladins are. Especially if it was a team at the top of the league.

Nvm pulled through. UCF will def not finish first in American. Houston or Cincy
I think Houston may be better than they were last year. Not sure if anyone's seen them play but their guards are legit.

Seems like a weird post to make considering Nova won 2 of the last 3 titles and their league is a lot better than ours.

Bill Walton is a big Vance Jackson fan. He’s having an off game but looks great physically.

This game is hard to watch. How we let that whole class go is just beyond me. Jackson has special potential

none of the above has anything to do with Villanova losing to Furman this season. That is the only thing I was talking about. This isn't hard to understand.

Down year for Nova but that Penn team is pretty good and played really well last night. Wouldn't surprise me if they stole a game in the tournament.

They have to make it. Harvard and Yale are just as good as them, or better.

I respectfully disagree. While it’s certainly possible Penn doesn’t win their league I think they are the best in the Ivy.

Really isn’t that consequential for this year but this means Pitt needs another big man. Up to 4 scholarships for next year. Could mean big competition for Wahab and Kofi with playing time being guaranteed there
