By who?
I don't know anybody who has ever spoken on record about him?
By who?
Despite this season a little levity will always be warranted. I give your comment high praise. We’ll always have that early three against Wichita State
You're no longer in the circle of trust.in regards to what you're talking about, I think it can definitely effect players just because it shows that his whole act is a facade. once the mask is off it becomes a lot easier to see through BS.
He qualified some of his statements. You have to look at the totality of the post. It is DEEP.By who?
idk why I bother anymore. I keep telling myself I won't, but...You're no longer in the circle of trust.
Anyone who has been in regular contact with him recently? From all accounts he is not the same guy he was a few years back.I don't know anybody who has ever spoken on record about him?
Just a suspension right now. Not expulsion.Pretty disappointing that Cobb, who has been given a golden opportunity to make something of himself, both in basketball and school, has seemingly thrown it away again.
Frank Martin didn't want him back and that should have been a clue to UConn, but the kid may be a con artist who was able to convince Ollie that he has seen the light. Either way, he didn't seem to be able to harness what appeared to be good athletic ability and make a meaningful contribution to a team that desperately needs his physical makeup.
Yeah this is very joyful. The losing season followed by this mess, the number of transfers, the never ending smoke around the man "in charge" who has tanked this program and has shown no interest in rebuilding it on the court or on the recruiting trail. The man who built this program and put Storrs on the map has even been turned off by his own successor. There will be a number of transfers this off season to look forward to as well and to be honest I don't blame anyone who does. I just wish it was the AD who told Ollie to "F off" if we're being honest. Might save the program before we UMass ourselves any further.Support the team. Don't take joy when a college player tells a coach to off.
Is Kevin Ollie losing the team or last the team?
Now I don't think it is the second one, but maybe just maybe he is losing the team as the fanbase has called for his head
There is a difference between being a journeyman NBA player and a leader of young men. While you accumulate your opinion off of Wikipedia most of us can see and hear what is actually going on with the program we love. I'm not rooting against him you nitwit I'm rooting FOR our program to stop this spiral into the black hole of irrelevancy. It probably feels OK to be a fan of a guy who is universally respected as a leader, mentor, and champion inside and outside of basketball. The idea that the reputation he accumulated through two+ decades in high level basketball has all been a fraud is pretty ridiculous. I'd wager that he's likely developed some emotional problems that have compromised his ability to run the program and compelled him to act out-of-character. I'm not sure there are many people at this point who don't see the problems and it's obvious that he won't be the coach here if things continue that way.
But just remember, this isn't just a head coach who won a title and played 12 years in the NBA, he's also a guy who played for four years here under Calhoun and got his degree. The active rooting against him and need to accelerate his demise from people on this board is sad and this is a terrible take if you were being serious.

This is what's so unbelievable to me, how people who will not recognize what's going on right in front of them continue to pat themselves on the back as being the only "real fans."There is a difference between being a journeyman NBA player and a leader of young men. They've already payed for their knee pads, they're gonna use'em hell or high water. This is what's so unbelievable to me, how people who will not recognize what's going on right in front of them continue to pat themselves on the back as being the only "real fans."
I didn't interpret that as a wiki opinion. There was quite a bit of substantive material in the post to the contrary. They resort to that because they know there is no actual evidence of Ollie turning this program around. Maumaster and Stair man did a 180 from defending Ollie to now attacking and mocking the board as a whole. This is what's so unbelievable to me, how people who will not recognize what's going on right in front of them continue to pat themselves on the back as being the only "real fans."

i was sitting right behind the bench against ECU and noticed extremely poor body language by Cobb in the first half when came out. He also may have made some comments. I thought something was up. BTW some of you guys make me sick. i used to enjoy this board. its amazing how many ex-coaches and genius there are out there. Seniors and juniors who have experience in a program matter.
Needed a warm body. Got a warm body. The staff knew that Cobb had a history of issues off the court. Thats probably a big reason a lot of other schools stood clear of him. At the time, many of us thought this was a good signing. We dont have any facts yet, but this doesnt look like it will end well.
By the way, when was the last time there was good news from UConn athletics outside of the womens basketball program?
