The page is maintained mostly by Oakraven81 who updates the list about once a week.
He/She has now been joined by 67.180.248.170 - a San Francisco IP address.
Mr/Ms IP address edits the list whenever Geno wins a game.
He/She correctly enters Geno's number and does not touch rest of the list.
In this way he is expediting Geno's march to a higher ranking on Wikipedia.
You can verify this by checking the History tab.
It may not matter given Rutgers' performance this season. But you have been warned.

But if, as you say, Oakraven81 updates the list "about once a week" (and does so in accurate and complete fashion) isn't "Mr/Mrs IP address" only skewing the list momentarily ? And if that's the case I don't think we really need to be "warned" , especially twice. Rest assured that the half-dozen or so folks at Volnation,who can accurately count, will keep the tally honest.

I also post a list of the top 10 coaches earlier in the season predicting Geno would be # 3 sooner than later. As a Uconn fan I do not mend if someone post an update every single day. Enjoy it!

Hard to say. It seemed like the game had passed her by a bit, but that was likely due to early onset symptoms.

In the end it really doesn't matter. She'll be remembered as one of the all time greats, deservedly so.

You really jumped the gun there, assuming that UConn would hang on to a 40-point lead in the 4th quarter :cool:

Huge win by Rutgers at home over Michigan State. Rutgers is showing improvement, now 3-3 in conference (and I notice you've moved back your projected "Geno ties CVS" date accordingly).
 
I am probably missing something here, but on face value I find the years coaching very interesting. I am sure there will be those that can shoot holes in it but here goes. CV should not even be in this discussion based on her number of years coaching. In fact anyone with more than 40 years should not be in this conversation. The cut off maybe should be 38 years, that is where Pat set the bar. When Geno reaches his 46th year of coaching (14 years from now) he will have far surpassed everyone. 14 seasons at 20 wins per season ( error on the LOWwww side) plus 971 equals 1251. Even if he only does 6 more years( G.. forbid) he will pass Pat. Also out of the other 6 how many years does each have left to coach compared to Geno? Of course that is barring any major problems. So as the post is all about it is not IF but just a matter of WHEN !!!!!! Sorry just slightly off topic.. :)

Amateurs! Try 489 wins and 93 losses (84% winning percentage) in 16.5 years. Only Geno and Leon Barmore have better winning percentages and it is only a matter of time until Mulkey surpasses Barmore. Tara has been coaching 38 years and only has two championships? And McGraw has been coaching for 35 years and has only 1 title? SMH

UNC now getting dangerously close to a losing record and thus no postseason invite, which will further delay Hatchell's 1000th. Heels are 12-8, but have 5 remaining games against ranked teams which are likely losses. Would need to go 3-1 against the others, which is far from guaranteed.
