I mean, that's a pretty obvious reference but I wonder whether someone like Susie Gardner would go to TAMU or whether Nell Fortner would think that TAMU would be a better place to build than Georgia Tech.
 
Has the same thought about Fortner, but neither Mercer nor GA Tech is in the SEC, which the post specifically mentions.

And if any AD in the SEC ever gives Gardner another shot, they should immediately be fired.
 
Joni just signed a great class and has a nice young core, would really be surprised to see her leave UGA.

The only other rumbling I heard was for Coach Yo at Ole Miss but would Texas A&M be a good fit and how does that equate to the land of peaches?

Georgia and Texas are hot beds for talent though. Not sure what possible reason unless she is that unhappy at Georgia or A&M is giving her a raise

But I’m not sold on Joni’s coaching either

You don't remember Ballentine Beer? Shades of my youth. It is now a subsidiary of Pabst and the name isn't much used. I don't think it was very popular, but I think it was still around in the '70's when I was in college.

The MTA is NYC's transit authority. They don't use tokens any more. I still have a couple somewhere. I was still working in NY when they switched to the swipe cards, which were better. Except, when my wife and I were in NYC a few years back on our one trip east (meeting someone at Katz's and then going to the WTC memorial) none of the machines at the Station were working to buy a card and we had to take a cab.

Haven't had beer since Feb 2004.... but if you have some recommendations on a good chocolate beer.... lemme know.

Never heard of it. Being from Canada, I'm familiar with popular American brands like Pabst (ugh), Milwaukee, Miller, Coors, etc., however if it's a specialty beer, not aware of it being available.

If it's an older brand, I'm not from the same generation as you. I was born in the 70s.:)

Next time in the US, I'll do some research ;) The one I'm thinking of is from a brewery in British Columbia and I have a hard time finding it where I live.

Have to say, it's nice to see more craft breweries in the US nowadays. Looking forward to making a road trip to the US soon now that border restrictions have been eased. That and seeing live NFL and NCAAW games again!!!!

I think it was Me Allen with the Yankees in the 50's who called homers a Ballentine Blast.

I think the etiquette is to formally wait until the coaches of teams still playing in postseason (NCAAT and WNIT) finish their season (lose) before they formally interview or announce the various departures from the current school.

As such, BC is still alive in the WNIT as is Marquette so if either Joanna Bernebei-McNamee or Meg Duffy are candidates for P5 schools, no announcement will be forthcoming until the team loses. We know their agents have been busy on the phones drumming up interest if not genuine at least pseudo so to get more money for their client from the current school. That could be why Syracuse, ASU and a few others are still open.
