This is pathetic I know it’s the 2nd rd but these kids should have the opportunity to have a stage with fans present, David Stern is rolling in his grave.

This is one of the worst ideas the league ever had. And 4pm too smh.
 
So apparently Kyle Filipowski dropped because:
  • He blew his interviews (was apparently super disengaged).
  • His fiance is 8 years older than him & they've been dating since he was a minor.
  • He's now estranged from his entire family because of the above.
This is wild. She got her master's degree before she went to prom with him.

2nd rounders were usually not at the draft in the past. Jackson for example watched at a nearby restaurant.

Checked on this. She's 26 and he's 20. So not that terrible. Not exactly the Bill Belichick cringe level.

She's not bad to look at. Seems well educated, works with Cochlear Implants.

LOL if 2 is true, I can't imagine that should be a red flag for NBA teams. If anything, having an older partner as a guardrail should be viewed as a positive. And the underaged partner in a relationship like that should never be punished or judged or held responsible.

I can definitely see his above-it-all attitude turning some teams off in interviews, though.
