They're my second favorite program. I always liked them and they kept the Big East more than relevant when people were calling for the demise of the Big East. They kept the seat warm for the return of the big dogs.

With the new emphasis on not rewarding flopping, a player like Filipowski loses a lot of his draft value.

And if they're going to stretch the draft to 2 days then why the heck are they doing the 2nd round at 4:00 tomorrow? Who is going to be watching at that time?

Yeah it is silly. It works out for me since I'm going to the USA vs. Panama Soccer game in Atlanta but why not just have it on Prime time or at least starting at 7 PM EST.

So seeing how the first round played out, any thoughts on if Karaban would have been drafted in the top 30?

I could see him having been in play at 26/28/30 but he’s also pretty different than all three players taken. Not sure I’d have taken Dunn at 28, or ever.

I don't see it, still some college guys I rank ahead of AK as prospects still on the board. I know he said the Celtics liked him but I can't see them taking him over Scheimerman

Not to me. They slept on Kolek out of Cumberland High because he just doesn't seem athletic enough. Now the same thing happens, they can't see him competing with higher level athletes. I'm done counting him out. Somebody will probably get a nice player now in round 2. He'll get a contract.

Furphy is no surprise either. Furphy just doesn't have the strength or well-developed overall game. Got terrible advice and should have returned to KU. I heard Self told him to come back. Would probably be a 1st next year.

He measured with a negative wingspan, so he can't really play center. Defense is going to be a problem. He's too slow to pay PF.

Prefect fit for him, he's going to thrive in Boston. This draft is great for the Big East I believe we had the most picks by conference so far (or maybe are tied for most?)
