Chat for the draft

To the ‘yarders who are knowledgeable on the draft - would San Antonio take Clingan if he’s available at 8? Or is he redundant with Wemby?

I was hoping Clingan would fall to SAS and they can form a KAT x Gobert combo on steroids. But alas he’s going to play behind Ayton?

Holland was a disruptor. Pre-draft had him going #11 and he went #5. He must've shown out in workouts.

LOL at all these teams drafting skinny French dudes just because Wemby had such a nice rookie year.

That's 3 teams that just flushed a pick down the toilet. But no worries, they will all be back in the lottery soon.

It’s not because of Wemby. French have been pretty good at development and I think NBA teams trust that a bit more than some college teams. Wemby is an example of what they are doing right.

That said, there’s no real star power in the draft other than Castle. Holland may have been seen as another guy with potential. People underrating Sheppard. He showed very good athleticism at the combine, which is why he moved up. Houston is a horrible shooting team.

Woj said Memphis wanted a C, couldn't get a deal done to get Clingan at 6, so they took Edey. Makes sense for positional need but it feels high

He'll struggle keeping up with Ja's pace. He'll have work to do there, but makes sense for Memphis if they were set on a C. He's the best one left

Kel'El Ware could have been an option there, but I think there's some very real concerns about his motor and focus

I just love all th publicity for UConn with the 4th and 7th pick and now Hurley going to interviewed. Plus, my UConn bomber jacket arrived in the mail today. The Basketball Gods are working in great force today.

Well thank God the French love is over!

He will shoot well until the play the Spurs and Stephon is on him

Some of these teams are building nice young cores. Minnesota and OKC among them.
