Chat for the draft

Just the other day Rich Paul was on Gilbert Arenas pod taking digs at Calipari for Chris Livingston nearly going undrafted, now another client does go undrafted. I don't get declaring for the draft with this much uncertainty in this era of CBB with NIL.

Their draft history is hilarious and really painful as a Knicks fan. David Lee and Porzingis are their only good draft picks since Ewing...

I disagree, that is all they have talked about for the last month.

I view it as nepo-draft. Lebron is still a great player. LA needed to do it to keep dad, but Bronny is not a top 60 player this year.

I hope he stays healthy and improves. I’m glad all our guys got drafted. And glad Danny is back and doesn’t have to deal with that drama there.

A lot of times the top 60 guys aren’t drafted. Bronny was drafted 55th, not like he was a first rounder. He was drafted 3 picks before a guy named Ariel Hukporti, who im sure none of us had heard of.

He was drafted because of nepotism. It is what it is, Lebron gets what he wants.

Yeah, saying that the top 60 rarely get drafted.
 
It was a good two days for the program. All four guys got drafted and a lot of media for the lottery guys.

Hope they all can stick around the NBA for a while.

It's been a while since UConn had several guys in the league.

It’s really not that uncommon for a sibling or relative to be in an organization together. Jr Smiths brother Chris was signed by the Knicks, Tim Raines son was in the Orioles minor league system he got called up in September to play a game with his dad. Andy Pettittes son was drafted by the Yankees in his last season.

It’ll get highlighted because it’s Lebron, but it’s so common like you said.

And if anyone deserves that treatment it’s the guy who’s been the face of the league for 20 years.

That's exactly what Brad Stevens said about it. Not full of any sure things, but lots of guys who could become NBA players.

I'm looking forward to about eight months from now when an announcer or two starts publicly speculating that McNeeley may in fact be a better pro prospect than Flagg.
 
that won't happen. flagg will be by far the #1 prospect in this class. however, McNeeley likely more efficient.
