Castle on the U

I'm in class and can't watch. Wheeler v Newton is the game of the year for public school basketball. Two fantastic teams with tons of talent. @Storrs South on this one?

Hopefully can watch the second half of the game.

I’m watching this and I cannot wait to get Castle on campus. Castle is so quick getting to the rim. Great matchup against Isaiah Collier.
 
Turned it on late so didn't see the full 1st quarter but defense is not great, granted he's guarding Isaiah Collier who's really good. Getting to the rim and been impressed with his second jump on offensive rebounds/putbacks

Got mauled on back to back shots, no foul called on either. Then gets called for tech, will probably end up being a double tech on Stallworth from Wheeler as well. He'll fit in with UConn just fine

Definitely a high school home game lol. He and Collier are very nice players amazing their both leaving ACC/SEC area for the BE and Big 10 respectively.

He's not a good defender. He has the size to be good or better though. It's not uncommon with high usage hs players to be bad on defense. No concerns IMO. The pieces are there and Hurley can maximize a guys potential on defense.

Castle looked tired in the 3rd. Lots of passes that his teammates bricked the shot.

Newton doesn't have the firepower to compete tonight.
 
Tons of mid-range Js from Castle. Curious how he adapts that to college--Hurley doesn't love those shots.

Castle's effort is better now, but a little too late. He's doing everything... getting nothing from his team.

22 pts witth 5 minutes left. Going toe to toe with Collier imo.

Ridiculous handles for 6'7. Such a unique skill... will take a lot of pressure off the PG. I would love to see us get a dynamite shooting PG to defend small guards and pair with castle on offense.

Heard that wrong huh. Collier to USC I thought Indiana. He and his teammate the big guy heading to Andy Enfield?

Eh, mid-range shots are not a good shot. Castle needs to take them here bc his team sucks, but he'll have more than enough opportunities to bully his way to the rim with college-level spacing. Paint is too crowded here for that. His % tonight on middies hasn't been excellent. Probably less than 50%.
