I wonder if the NBA is equipped to evaluate all of the players declaring?
It may be headed towards applying to Harvard - 20 applicants for every 1 admission.

I guess he feels he owes it to himself
I would be utterly shocked if any NBA team gave him positive reviews
If he doesn't come back next fall with better hands, improved footwork and some type of game 10' in - he can sit on the bench and lets try to develop SE
I see much more of an upside to SE than AB
As a senior the expectations of 12 pts, 8 rebs and 2 blocks per game while averaging 3 fouls is not too much to ask for - does AB have it in him?
I hoping yes.................................

It's just dopey. These guys have no chance of getting a guaranteed contract.

I don't understand the incentive. Can't they talk to NBA teams whether they are declared r not?

The players are declaring in hopes to get an invite to the combine. They are basically making themselves eligible to be evaluated by the NBA, but not all of them will be getting invited.

Both DraftExpress and NBADraft have Brimah in the 2nd round of 2017 ( in the 50's).

I see this as a good thing, maybe it will motivate him to work harder on his offense. That's all that's keeping him from being a lottery pick next year, IMO.

NBA execs should just talk to Mau for a scouting report on Brimah, he gives him a glowing endorsement.

How many players usually get invited to the NBA Pre-draft Camp? I imagine that most of the players that declare early won't get invited since there are going to be so many.

Remember this is the NCAA, logic goes out the window when trying to figure out their rules. Probably a season suspension if you talk to an NBA exec/scout without declaring or something ridiculous like that.

Brimah has flaws, but are you really suggesting we bench him? Yes let's just bench one of the best shot blockers in the country in his senior year, and a guy who changes our complexion defensively.

I believe the limit for combine invites is 60.

Enoch "looks like a center" and is a Connecticut native. When you put him up against a string bean from halfway around the world, people will jump to unreasonable conclusions.

Was just trying to find the numbers on this and came across this: http://www.draftexpress.com/article...w-Schedule-Teams-Groupings-and-Analysis-4952/

When players could test the water:
2008: 79
2007: 82
2006: 82
2005: 84

Then when the new rule was put into place in 2009:
2015: 63
2014: 59
2013: 63
2012: 61
2011: 53
2010: 53
2009: 50

And now they've reverted back to what it was prior to 2009. Not sure if they have put a cap on it, but looks like it could be close to 80 players.
