247 dropped him 45 spots on 6/15/19, this was after he was one of the breakout players at the Dallas EYBL event.

That’s a very fair point. I think if his stock was falling, it’s hard for one weekend to save him. His Macduffie numbers were modest too last winter, which I’m sure didn’t help either. And one gripe I have with him is that even in the post, he seems like he can only score by facing up. No footwork/low post back to basket based scoring.

I think he’d be a solid addition to the program. Nothing earth shattering, but we need depth and he could be a big part of the team as a junior/senior.

If you were to compare him to similarly ranked commits we’ve gotten like Polley or Carlton, he was a way bigger part of more of a successful EYBL team than Carlton was for his Boo Williams team or Polley’s E1T1 team. Probably not a shocker lol.. but that gives me a little more hope.

Businesses that don’t care anymore about customers seldom do well long term. Sometimes, you may have the wind at your back and short term do well - but it’s not a recipe for long term success.

Lived busby in 09-10, then charter in 10-11. Hilltop was definitely better than either.

I saw that. From 5/21 to 6/15 his ranking dropped from 101 to 146 suggesting he struggled a bit during that period. This ranking stuff is helpful but stating the obvious, you have to see recruits in person and then determine whether they can play and fit in with your program.
