Big East OOC thread '25/'26

It's bizarre. He was around the 50th best recruit in the country, played at Montverde, and he's their best athlete.
I think we were in on him for a bit too. Could you imagine Hurley recruiting a kid to redshirt him. None of it makes sense, has to be more to the story.

Hall putting a hurting on ranked NCSt - consider me surprised. I may have prematurely doubted some of these back end teams like SHU & Butler.

There will be a lot of year to year volatility in the transfer portal era.

even with McAndrew healthy McDermott should have been able to find minutes for him
Have you watched much of the game?

Looking at the boxscore Owen Freeman is doing nothing. I'm surprised they haven't been able to get him going. Zugic has been a bust, he had a lot of hype when Creighton got him.

We were mentioned a little with Austin Swartz as well coming out of high school. Another kid ranked around 50th. One year at Miami and now at Creighton, he stinks.

The Greer thing makes no sense, he's clearly a player.

Creighton no Kalk, stinks. This new center has nothing. They're getting outrebounded 44-25, can't get a defensive rebound in this one.

They don't stink. They would actually probably be pretty good if they had McAndrew and if McDermott wasn't planning on redshirting Greer.

Baylor traveled 4 times on the last possession. Call something. Even the Baylor player with the ball thought he traveled as he crossed halfcourt.

alot of ORebs given up by Creighton that wouldn't have happened with Kalbrenner, get a stop in a 1 possession game and give up the offensive putback to push it back to 5

Did Owen Freeman get hurt? He had 4 points and 1 rebound today on 4 shots. Didn't commit a foul.

Greer led them in scoring with 16 on 7/8 shooting.

not sure, haven't seen him much, Creighton either went smaller or when they did go back bigger it was with Traudt at center. Freeman was standing up in huddles without warmups on so not sure if it was an injury or not

Seton Hall has some athletes. I don't really know any of these kids and Elijah Fisher is the only kid on the roster who was ever ranked in the top 100 but they are contesting everything.

From scrolling through Twitter it seems like an effort/defense thing

Yeah they do - shockingly. Newark will be a problem.
