I always look for bad losses early in the season. Villanova has 2 and Georgetown has 2 or 3 (Northwestern). That's basically it for the conference.

This is true, but you can't help but notice this is the second year the Big East is #4, the Pac-12 and ACC are either #5 or #6. It seems like a tier-structure is starting to cement.The Big East is clearly down this year but so is the ACC and Pac, it's nothing to fret about.
