That is a strange rule. So say there's 10 seconds left, possession arrow is in your favor, there's a loose ball and the 2 teams are fighting for it and you call a timeout. You're awarded the ball? That can't be right.
No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that in the specific situation where you call a timeout and it's deemed that you don't have possession that's when it goes to the possession arrowThat doesn't make sense. If two players from different teams are fighting for the ball, sure that's a jump ball decided by the possession arrow. Green didn't have possession of the ball while he was falling out of bounds, that would not involve a jump ball with a possession arrow.
