Didn't realize that either, that FAU Final Four team had Carroll and Brenen Lorient as freshmen getting small minutes. Lorient is at WVU starting and having a good season for a likely NCAA tournament team
Btw did we know Josh Jefferson was a St Mary’s transfer? We got the wrong one there.

It’s a shame that Tre Carroll threw the game away at the end since he was the major reason they were even in it late in OT. Those were some tough threes and he was generally unstoppable down the stretch

But I guess you just have to take the good with the bad with him lol

There was a Bryce Lindsay sighting tonight in Cincy. If we can get him back on a roll, Nova can make a little noise in March. Defense has to be much better than tonight though.

He threw it against St. John’s too despite an otherwise great performance, it is who he is

Didn't know that Carroll was an FAU transfer, Dusty May got a great eye for talent evaluation . LJ Cason has turned into a pretty good role player for Mich and he was originally committed to FAU before May took the Mich job.
Hopefully that’s what Junior County can be next season

Let's get Bryce Lindsay back on heater after Saturday's game against UConn. When Bryce gets on fire he starts knocking down 3s at a rapid clip.

Looking like road teams are going to go 4-0 in BE play tonight.

2 in the books for the visitor and DePaul has Seton Hall on the ropes.

Seton Hall's season is over. They won games with mirrors early in the season. They just aren't that good.

Butler and Creighton would both be tournament teams if they hadn't had major injuries. Multiple injuries in the case of Butler.

St John’s losing to Marquette after a kill shot in 2nd half. Maybe Pitino is right about there being parity despite a lot of losing records.

Johnnies likely end up winning this, but James Jr. was putting on a show there for a bit. Kid has elite body control. Too bad he's barely 6'0" and not 5-6" taller.

I want Creighton to beat St. John's, but I am certainly not expecting it. Ever since Rick Pitino coached St. John's Creighton has struggled with them. Even with their better teams in 2024 and 2025 they escaped with 1 pt wins in Omaha where St. John's had the ball last with a chance to win and St. John's has beaten them handily in MSG. St. John's is a bad match up for Creighton. I hope my post ages badly.

St. John’s is allowed to just clobber Creighton without getting called for fouls. Pitino has created a relationship with the officials in which his team can mug all game long but you can’t breathe on them.

I don’t know how anyone can watch this creighton St. John’s game right now and just not be appalled at how good we made creighton look. Speaks to our lack of physicality
While I think our players are more skilled, SJU's players are clearly quicker and have more length. Plus they push the ball up the court much more than we do; taking advantage of their better athletes.

I didn't know it was possible to be entertained, which is why I watch these games, and have my blood boiling at the same time. This game shows how soft this UConn team is with the exception of Silas and Tarris.

I'm really concerned about these last 4 regular season games. With the way we're playing lately we could lose all 4. I would be shocked if that happens but we need to see the turnaround in play starting today against Nova. St. John's is a horrible matchup for us. Seton Hall will be playing for their tournament lives and Marquette is playing much better later in the season despite their record.

Today's game is massive for us.

Part of the physicality issue is that we get fouls called on us so much more often than other teams. St. John’s is allow to mug and maul teams in a way nobody else in the big east is allowed to.

Also figured that creighton shot their wade against us anyway no way they were having two games in a row like that.

Wow. Johnnies blowing out Creighton on Johnnies Day. What a time to be alive.

Never thought Johnnies would be commanding the Big East like this again. The power of coaching!

Fouls aside (Creighton having 2 guys w/3 fouls while SJU has none?), I'm both impressed and depressed with SJU's ball movement. On one hand, they seem more disciplined on running their stuff than they did last year. OTOH, how in hell could we not run our stuff at will against Creighton last game? Their D looks awful.

Everyone should remember that the Huskies beat Creighton by 27 only 3 weeks ago. So something happened between then and this past Wednesday. I'm not sure everyone got soft between then and now.

Not sure why anyone needed to see St Johns stomp Creighton out as proof it was a bad loss and Creighton isn't that good, UConn just beat them by damn near 30 a few weeks ago. That's all you need to know about how poorly UConn played this past Wednesday and how they've been playing these past couple of weeks.
