And sat a year. He is eligible right away for one graduate year.
Confirmed on Verbal Commits too.

Weird coincidence that Providence's two bigs this year will be La Salle transfers.

I’ve mentioned this before but 6’11” redshirt Raphael Castro is going to get serious run this year. He redshirted only because of the senior roster. I love the pickup of the new kid from LaSalle though. This from a URI fan:

Between Bynum, Croswell, Breed and Goodine, Providence returns one starter and about 30% of their scoring.

Between three transfers and four HS prospects in the '21 and '22 classes, it'll be interesting to see how Cooley builds his lineups.

On Marquette: Between a NAIA player and an import from New Zealand, Shaka Smart took some unconventional routes to reload. On paper, my one gripe on Wrightsil is his inability to shoot threes (14.8% on 0.7 attempts/game) and only being 6'7.

Back to Providence, UConn should copy their move announce a trio of signings all on the same day: Young, Ramey and Dennis :D

Brycen Goodine is transferring from PC. Now I think Floyd is going to happen. He was on the PC campus yesterday.

I know this doesn't apply to UConn but other schools are allowed to play up to 13 scholarship players throughout a game..

I mean if you have to go 13 deep then its probably not a good roster. But I get your sentiment for sure.

So this whole "the difference between Providence and UConn is that at PC kids don't leave because it's a family environment" lasted, what, 72 hours?
Nah in this case Goodine was just never going to play and they probably wanted his scholarship back.

Friar's lectures on this subject were enlightening. I think they've only had 4 players transfer out of PC in the past year, same as UConn.

In all seriousness, I have had a recurring mental image of him in a black Providence uniform since the day he entered the portal. No idea why, but I literally "see" him as a Friar.

I think your instincts/intuition are on the money.. Dad sat the Uncle down and explained to him how things are goin' down going forward.

It's not a good roster, or so I have read on here.

I mean I think PC has done well, don’t get me wrong. But there is quite a few of Friar Nation booking Final Four tickets already while I keep asking who their wings are.
