For the record, I've known about what ultraviolet light does to beer for a few decades, but I believe that some here are making far too much of it.

Due to packaging, the bottles won't see any sunlight from the braurerie (if it's Spaten, birerria if it's Peroni, another favorite) through to placement on the shelf. From there, it's entirely up to the purchaser.

Remarkably that whole place was built selling it and a few others for $4 a can. When I went to the old farm location you could only get 10-12 beers at a time. But on a cold January weekday morning there was a line of 150 people.

What they've done since, the other locations, saving that golf course in Andover, the Sandwich location, really about as customer first as you can ever hope to find. When you go back, try the classic bar because the traditional styles are fantastic.

I stopped by last month on a Monday, on my way back from the Cape - maybe mid-afternoon, rainy day.

Parking lot was at least half full. (For those who do not know….this is not a small parking lot.) Really pressed for time and I just wanted to pop and pop out so I was a tiny bit concerned about the crowd. From the time I punched my order into the kiosk to pick up was about 30 seconds. Maybe I was there for five minutes.

Also, if anyone goes there, Apple and Google really want to send you there the long way from 84 or 90. Look at the route. Take the shorter option on 20.

I get the narrative. A Double IPA is indeed too much for the beach. I rarely drink those and split them when I do.

On the other hand, I hate the Czech/German hops on the beach, too bitter, too earthy and astringent. The tropical/citrus hops in a nice Pale Ale pair much better with a hot beach day. Even something utterly mild like a Mango Cart works or Orange Blossom Pilsner from Florida. The Handline Kolsch from Devil's Purse on the Cape is crisp and clean.

All of the IPA fandom has brought on one thing we can all agree on - lots of good FRESH beer to try. Without Heady Topper's insanity, there is no Treehouse, Caius, Marlowe - any of it. The variety of amazing non-IPAs these places are making should make everyone happy. And yes, they'll gladly serve you an IPA, too.

We live in great times for beer - enjoy them.

Well I guess we have different opinion of what pretentiousness is. If you read the comments and watch other videos, most would side with me but to each their own. I guess what did he say that wasn’t true? He literally said he supports folks who like macro and hopes they would consider trying his beer, which he thinks is better, and is educating people about the brewing process for each.

That looks good.

About 15 years ago when I visited Japan I had a limited production dark beer made by Suntory, who is more known for hard liquor like whiskey. That beer remains one of the best dark beers I've ever had.
