Are the rules the same as men's game? If so Sims gets ejected and misses next game. She took a swing.

I am sure that Trey, Carolyn and Kara will discuss that.

Wouldn't that be a hell of a way to lose a perfect season.

Lobo tweeted you are suspended if you leave the bench.

It is SHOCKING that Beth and Stephanie are dead silent as this is going on. Why are they not explaining what the rules and consequences are? It's like they don't even know. This is why you need top notch people announcing.

griner should receive a suspension for leaving the bench

SUPER UH OH.
Rebecca just tweeted "Leave the bench and you are suspended for the next game, regardless if you are playing peacemaker."
Ain't gonna happen. Griner is special, don't you know?

What is the rule about players leaving the bench. Anyone know? Since the announcers don't seem to want to tell us.

I thought a player who leaves the bench is supposed to be suspended...Whoa!! Players get ejected but no suspensions?!? These refs are fantastic!

How do they make that call for the next game? Why is Sims still on the floor?

Could we possibly knock out baylor and TN on the same play? Be still my heart!

How can they determine no suspensions already?? Anyone know the answer to that question

Yes it should. What does Stanford do with Sims?
Well, assuming she plays (I'd assume she will- this doesn't warrant any disciplinary action, IMO), she'll severely challenge Stanford's backcourt. Stanford will not give as much room as she got tonight, though.

Chiney and Nneka combined create a relatively unique frontcourt challenge. But they still have to get by Duke.

Or you wait until the refs make an official decision. Not sure how they get to decide no suspensions

So why do the officials get to change the rules? Come off the bench, REGARDLESS of reason, and you are suspended for the next game.. Will head of officials interfere?

but Baylor gets a do over evidently. Why?

They will give Griner a pass. Also read that Sims took a swing at a Tenn player(??).

It could happen. But would other teams really want to win a championship because Baylor players get suspended? Griner was obviously just trying to calm things down, but that may not matter to the NCAA.

Going to be an interesting post game -who's the struckoff replacement?

It is crap like this that gives ppl who are not fans of WCBB a reason to laugh at!!! In the men's game it is a suspension.

I know in the NBA, it's an auto-suspension, even if you leave as a peace-maker.

And no, I don't want that to be the way anyone wins an NC.

Actually Lobo amended her tweet.

"Wow -- I thought it included ejection next game. Studio will have the exact ruling. Stay tuned..."

Not following that. The only reason the rule exists in the men's game is because too many times, players leaving the bench resulted in brawls. Basically, you're acknowleding women have more restraint and less testosterone.

Why on EARTH would Griner leave the bench?? Especially after the punch incident? Good lord, Mulkey. I would have run over and sat on Griner so she couldn't get up.
