Winthrop is now 1-9. A truly horrible team. Kim did not play anyone over 21 minutes. Very nice game by Cox - she stared and had 23 points. Nice game by Chou as well with 14 points. Believe it or not, Cave was the leading scorer with 25 points. Not sure anyone would have predicted that before the game!

Well, maybe, Kim ran out of leather/suede jackets to toss around. Otherwise, unfathomable. Just give the kids a couple of days off from a game and practice hard: they'd learn more from a practice at this point in the year. Sort of vulgar, actually, to be honest.

Baylor put up 95 shots and 20 free throws. I don't care if it's the bench or grad students, that seems excessive. UConn would've scored about 25 points after halftime in such a game. Baylor put up 63.

I honestly believe a game like that hurts a team like Baylor. They learn absolutely nothing about anyone on their team and how they will play against legitimate competition, ultimately developing a false sense of security about themselves. IMO, they would get far more out of a good, hard practice.

The box score has some unique numbers. Winthrop shot 14.3% from 3 point range, but shot 13.6% over all. Baylor made 55% of their 3 pointers, and shot 61% overall. Winthrop had 6 assists and 28 turnovers. Baylor had 42 assists and 13 turnovers. They could have scheduled a good middle school team and gotten the same competition.

This performance will not fail to impress some recruits and their parents. Notre Dame scored 72 against Valpo in the first half; they could not do it.
Uconn led Miss St 61-12 at the half; they could not do it.
Baylor could; they won by a record margin. So do I now go to Baylor or Tennessee?

Why not just use the UT vs Baylor game? I doubt that the Winthrop vs Baylor, changed any minds or will play a part in decision making..

I agree. I did not get to see the game and I am glad that I didn't. This type of game brings me no pride and joy. Quite frankly, it makes me respect Mulkey a little less that she would schedule an opponent of this caliber.

When you play games like this you dont draw and fans dont wanna sit there and watch a game like this. A cupcake schedule will get you a cupcake attendance. Period.

Attendance was 6,440 and probably a nice payday for Winthrop, who also has an away game at Ohio State on their schedule.
