Yeah, that's actually a puzzlingly disappointing attendance for Iowa State since they averaged about 10,000 last year and about 9500 this year. But I'm not sure if regular season home games are apples-to-oranges with NCAA tourney games, with the home team only playing in one of them.
But absolutely right about Toledo who had a nice jump yesterday above the 4000 mark. Good sign for the WCBB.

Somewhat deceiving and a result of seeding and placement IMO! Had Gonzaga and Stanford went to Seattle, I'm sure those numbers would be much higher! Seems like a lot of teams are far from home like South Carolina for example.
Are you suggesting, then, that teams should be seeded according to geography not merit?
But the seeding and the sites are not fixed - the #1 seed in the west didn't have to got to Seattle for the first round. They seemed to go out of the way to put eastern teams into LA and Seattle and send western teams east. Are you suggesting, then, that teams should be seeded according to geography not merit?
I was disappointed too, but we drew a bad time slot: Sunday at 8 PM, before a workday. And the competition was both familiar and weak. Let's see what we get on Tuesday. The better competition and the earlier time slot should help. I'd love to see 10,167, but 8,000+ would be good. This will be Stef's and Bria's last game at home. And it is a great team.Wow pretty pathetic attendance for UCONN fans.

I guarantee tonight's attendance in Ames wont come close to yesterday's
ISU fans always turn out. They support their women. For the 2012-2013 season ISU ranked 2nd nationally with an average of 9,970 per game.
