Looks about right except for Georgia. I don’t understand why they are being left out of the top25. It’s like no one paid any attention that Staiti and Morrison returned and they added some nice freshman pieces.

This is about what I thought they would be although I would have Stanford at 1 because they’re defending champs. But also, how isn’t Georgia ranked????

They are ranked.....ranked 26th.

But seriously I agree with you, These guys had Georgia ranked 10th in their final poll last season, and UGA pretty much returns all of their players with the exception of one, I think.

I'm guessing the AP feels UGA just got on a big roll of momentum last season that rose the team above the level of their parts, and they need to prove themselves all over again....

Beat Tennessee twice last year.

Vols at #15 seems a bit high to me. I'd put them 18-20.

South Carolina's beat writer (Cloninger) picks the Gamecocks #2 (UConn as #1) and UConn's beat writers (Adamec and Cleaveland) pick UConn #3 and #2, respectively.

Maybe they aren't allowed to pick their own state's teams #1??

And Kentucky is ranked. Star-power I guess.

I expect UNC, Duke and Notre Dame to crack this nut before the New Year. Texas will move up.

Notre Dame in the receiving votes category and no sign of Duke.

and of course..........why are there no votes for Cal Baptist?? Polls are stupid to not include them. Heck, Belmont got 5 votes. I understand "Belmont" has a lot of "horsepower" on their team.
Cal Baptist played one team in the top 75 last year ... and lost by 20+ pts.

Well, Texas 25, UGA with the next-most votes. It will work out as it works out. According to Massey, Texas has the 14th best schedule, Georgia is 56. Plus, the Vic factor weighs heavily.

Baylor at 7? If they end up there, it will be some fine coaching.
Baylor plays Maryland, Michigan, and a less-than-strong-this-year B12. They will likely have a lot of wins.

Baylor seems a bit elevated by a couple of spots, but with a relatively weak schedule they'll probably stay 7 ish. MD is dangerous to ALL if some maturation occurred during the offseason. Very athletic group. Ashley OWUSU is under the radar. Just a quiet assassin if you ever seen one.

You've got to be kidding me. So UConn has Paige and Azzi two game changers, Oliva, Dorka Paige and Amari all 6'5, 3 HS number 1's, 1 HS number 2 and a world of talent and UConn is not number 1?????? You know I should have my own WCBB sports page. Let me say this. This years UConn WCBB team is DANGEROUS. The only way UConn could loose a game this season is if they loose it themselves and beat themselves because I don't believe they can be beaten. Above all UConn has the two best players in the country in Paige and Azzi and a contingency of players who are all top players with along with alot of height, and a returning starting lineup with experience. I dont think UConn will loose a game this season, they very well could but they are too-oo good and above anything any other team can compete with. Chemistry continuity attitude and above all confidence will make this team NC. Understand when you have one player who can take over a game and make everybody else on the floor better you've got a really good chance of winning. UConn has two players who can do that. No other team in WCBB has that and IMO thats the difference.

I agree with your assessment of UCONN. However, I don't think it's egregious to have either SC or Stanford as #1 to start the season.

I agree this was what was missing in '17,'18,'19. I think we have 4 +1, no disrespect to the Seniors, but it's Paige, Nika, Azzi, Aaliyah (with a surprise swap out with Ducharme depending on who they're playing). The plus is Evina I think her leadership will be invaluable. Just saying
