Lots of reasons for that. Just Google “What’s the most polluted lake in the US”. Onondaga Lake in downtown Cuse baby. At one point they were dumping 20 lbs of Mercury a day into the lake along with millions of pounds of raw sewage per year. No fish can live it because of the toxins. Just living near it smelled so bad people couldn’t keep windows open. Why people consciously choose to live there I’ll never know.
It’s the damned curriculum review and class orientation. Miller where are you Glenn? We need UConn ‘s favorite son.Point taken. Still find it odd. You lose so much of the social element seeing a school on a weekday.
If football was a consideration none of these schools would have been visited.Yeah not TOO sure we can talk on that front
Fast forward me to the weekend plzProbably want to commit at midnight madness this friday @ putnam.
Onondaga Lake makes Syracuse sound like desolate cities in Siberia. There WERE lots of jobs at Carrier, Honeywell and its predecessors, GE and many others. I recall one area, north and west of downtown I believe, where there were very large factory buildings with massive parking lots that were about 10-20 percent full in the late 70's. I'm fairly certain the lots are not any more full of cars today.
Found this article indicting the Syracuse economy and life there. Deindustrialization and unemployment in Syracuse, New York
Also this article about Onondaga Lake. Onondaga Lake – The Most Polluted Lake In America
Maybe Syracuse is the right moniker.
LOL - Every 18 year old recruit’s dream for their OV - class catalogs and various scheduling options. Design your dream class schedule. It’s the damned curriculum review and class orientation. Miller where are you Glenn? We need UConn ‘s favorite son.
Now you're just messing with us.Is anyone playing the lotto DOUBLE PLAY this weekend?
Hear the odds are good.
That’s how we’re gonna get pooched in PITT. They knew this was the dangling carrot. Not tradition or NBA futures but efficient class planning.LOL - Every 18 year old recruit’s dream for their OV - class catalogs and various scheduling options. Design your dream class schedule.
Omg, two frontcourt 5 stars committing back to back? I can hardly believe our good fortune. What a turnaround in just 8 short months. Just amazing what Hurley is doing. Is anyone playing the lotto DOUBLE PLAY this weekend?
Hear the odds are good.
Could we change the title to Pitt OV?
... and you've just now come that realization? Now you're just messing with us.
Please stop making fun of their weather. It’s such a weak dig.
As a Syracusian, I can only say that 140 inches of snow on average a year is actually very manageable compared anywhere else. Most places I've been to more south than here are crippled by an inch or two or snow. In Syracuse? , 2 feet of snow in the morning? No problem, school is delayed 2 hours and the plows come out. Try that anywhere else. Or dont, it's fine#pantiesinabunch

IthacaMatt being awfully quiet. Speak up man. You got any word?
I've read a bunch of posts in their thread claiming our facilities are trash, or at least inferior to theirs. Does Cuse have nice facilities? Can someone make them aware of the Werth center?

well that has to bode well for us. Pitt on a Tuesday?
One trophy. Palestra is a museum, too.

Hardly, but whatever.
There are big flat screen TVs in the hallway with big games from our history running on loops.
All the old Big East trophies are there, Beautiful displays of all of our draft busts, all our career statistical leaders, etc. It's very nice. I think there are either 4 or 6 courts inside, depending on how you configure it. Coaches offices view from above. Kids have private access cards for whenever they want to use the facility.
I'm just picturing Jim Boeheim flicking boogers onto the court from his office, also I don't think there's such thing as a beautiful display of Eric Devendorf.Hardly, but whatever.

That's 400 inches of good quality powder though. Here in the east whatever powder we get either turns into slush or develops a layer of rock-hard ice at the top within a day or twoTahoe City, CA. We get over 400 inches a year. come at me bro.
I think Syracuse will wind up with Brycen Goodine (G), Joe Girard (G), Quincy Guerrier (Wing), John Bol Ajak (Center project), and probably Diamond Carrigan (C) in the spring. If we got Stewart or Akok, that would be gravy, and would make for a great class.
