Aww someone hates logic and alternative perspectives. No thanks I’ll stay right here, sport,Go back to the ND board
Youre probably one of those people that would prefer a 48 P4 invitational for march madness.

Based on what? Because you say so? You have NO argument. Bamas schedule was way harder and they actually won their games. As many as ND did. ND is not a top 4/5 team on any objective metric..,,,you saying they are doesn’t make it so.As a heart attack. And it's 3 top 15 wins. Not 4. Get your facts straight or go home.
Let's talk some more about how Alabama didn't lose ground after getting face-planted by UGA last week. Or how they lost to a team that finished 2-6 in the ACC this year?
It's stupid. The ACC messed it all up for being an unserious bunch of buffoons to allow Duke into the title game, so that you could have a decrepit corpse of a blue blood run it back one more time.
Alabama is going to get trucked. ND is probably one of the 4 or 5 best teams in the country.
Make that make sense.
And that is relevant today how exactly??Until the late ‘60s they did, yes.
Logic? You don't think it was logical for the committee to put Miami ahead of ND due to head to head? You don't think it was logical for the ACC to advocate for their full time member over their half and half member? You don't think it was logical for ND to accept the bowl invite to get more practices for their young players?Aww someone hates logic and alternative perspectives. No thanks I’ll stay right here, sport,
Funny how you bring up more practices for young players but not the risk of CJ Carr tearing his ACL or blowing out his Achilles in a meaningless game and destroying their chances for next year too.Logic? You don't think it was logical for the committee to put Miami ahead of ND due to head to head? You don't think it was logical for the ACC to advocate for their full time member over their half and half member? You don't think it was logical for ND to accept the bowl invite to get more practices for their young players?
Seems to me the only ones not using logic are ND and their fans.
you're not even a full member of the conference, so your (and your school's) complaints don't carry much water. Why would the ACC advocate for a one-foot-in-one-foot-out "member" school over a full invested member school? They should use the playoff standings or the polls as the tie breaker. Also, if you look it up, Virginia’s loss to NC State didn’t count as a conference game. Virginia lost to NC State and Wake Forest, but only have 1 conference loss in the standings. The schools apparently mutually agreed to not have that game count as a conference game beforehand. That’s like UConn and St John’s playing and not having the game count in the Big East standings. It’s not a serious conference.
It’s fine to promote Miami and pump them up. It’s a different matter to denigrate and tear down ND. While they’re not a football member they are a member in roughly 24 sports.you're not even a full member of the conference, so your (and your school's) complaints don't carry much water. Why would the ACC advocate for a one-foot-in-one-foot-out "member" school over a full invested member school?
Maybe it doesn't, but it should. These schools pretend they're very concerned about climate change, then form a conference that ups their travel mileage two or three times. The concept of too much travel no longer applies to the major conferences.
This is the craziest part to me. How do you, as a program, turn down those invaluable practices that are opportunities to improve your team because you want to throw a tantrum? You don't think it was logical for ND to accept the bowl invite to get more practices for their young players?
Seems to me the only ones not using logic are ND and their fans.
In the 1920’s when they still played with leather helmets. Things have changed a bit since then, and the big ten has made several overtures. They were actively blackballed by the Big 10 because they’re a Catholic school. They tried getting in MULTIPLE TIMES. People don’t know their history and WHY independence was Ian’s is important to them.
Duke? They weren't very close to the bubble of getting into the CFP. Not sure that is the comp you want to point out.How did being in a conference work out for Duke or BYU? It sure worked great for Alabama though.
My point is being in a conference doesnt cure it. What’s so hard to understand? Duke is in a conference, won the conference title game, and didn’t get in. Miami is in a conference, didn’t play in the conference title game, and got in. BYU is in a conference, played in the conference title game and lost, and didn’t get in. You all are swallowing the ESPN SEC driven narratives hook line and sinker. Bots always been about the money, the corruption associated with conference broadcast rights, and massaging the rankings each week undeservedly to fit a narrative.Duke? They weren't very close to the bubble of getting into the CFP. Not sure that is the comp you want to point out.
1 > 24. Isn’t that what everybody tells me?Not favoring Miami over ND. Actively bashing ND even though they’re an ACC member in 24 sports.
If ND was in the ACC and won the conference championship they'd be in the CFP. They probably would have romped over the crap in that conference. Bots always been about the money, the corruption associated with conference broadcast rights, and massaging the rankings each week undeservedly to fit a narrative.
But its ok to punish BYU for "making" and losing in the Big 12 championship game???So you preferred when Auburn went undefeated and missed the BCS Championship because USC and Texas went undefeated as well? Clearly arguing over the 12th team is better than that situation.
ND needs to join a football conference if they don't want this situation. You can't penalize Alabama for making the SEC championship game.
College football is quite a joke don't get me wrong but it has more to do with the transfer portal and NIL than the playoff.
How bout last year's playoff performance? That count?Based on what? Because you say so? You have NO argument. Bamas schedule was way harder and they actually won their games. As many as ND did. ND is not a top 4/5 team on any objective metric..,,,you saying they are doesn’t make it so.
They made their bed, now they get to lie in it. ND is actually the decrepit corpse of a blue blood. All you have to do is look at their performance the few times they made it into the playoffs. They get embarrassed every time.
To follow where, exactly? If Uconn has a choice between the big 12 and ACC, it should choose the big 12.
The ACC is on life support and ND leaving it is just going to accelerate its death. Whatever ND does, I Expect them to try to get Clemson,FSU, and Miami to follow
Again. It’s fine to promote Miami. It’s another thing to disparage ND. That’s why the conference contracts and agreements have non disparagement clauses typically.1 > 24. Isn’t that what everybody tells me?
They’re smarter for not playing without their starting WRs, Starting RBs, starting TE, backup QB, and risking an injury to their starting QB in a meaningless game. It’s become apparent to many, maybe not you, that we can have playoffs, we can have bowl games, but we probably can’t have both. It would be insanely stupid to risk your 2026 season on your QB blowing out their ACL or Achilles in an exhibition game with no upside. If they win it won’t win over haters like you. If they lose with a skeleton team you’ll point and say see they didn’t belong anyway. There’s no upside to playing. If ND was in the ACC and won the conference championship they'd be in the CFP. They probably would have romped over the crap in that conference.
And admittedly I'm biased because I hate ND. I could tell you why but it would take too long. The arrogant ------ can enjoy their extra time off at home sucking their thumbs.
They did change the rules though. Starting next year, conference champs get autobids. My point is being in a conference doesnt cure it. What’s so hard to understand? Duke is in a conference, won the conference title game, and didn’t get in. Miami is in a conference, didn’t play in the conference title game, and got in. That’s a start. Do you think the ACC should change its tie breaking rules so a team like Duke doesn’t get into that game over Miami? Like do something sensible and use the CFP rankings or AP poll to break ties so that way the truly most deserving teams have a chance to get in?They did change the rules though. Starting next year, conference champs get autobids.
And weren't a string of ND ADs from the ACC in recent years? Corrigan? There are so many ties with the 2, one wonders why the new AD lost his mind.
Exactly. Why would the ACC not do everything in their power to make sure they get paid for one of their teams making the CFP.After a couple of days of trying to ignore some of this, I think ND is kind of out of its mind for making this argument.
Am I right that the ACC gets paid for having someone in the playoffs? Or is it that the ACC automatically gets CFP money whether Miami made it or not?
If Miami getting in benefited the bottom line of the ACC, then ND is crazy for even broaching this. ND has its own deal with the CFP. They don't share their football money with the ACC at all.
If ND thinks the ACC shouldn't push for the payday, maybe they can take their field hockey and scram.
The nerve of these people.
And weren't a string of ND ADs from the ACC in recent years? Corrigan? There are so many ties with the 2, one wonders why the new AD lost his mind.
Yeah, almost every attempt at admission into the Big Ten was before World War One. By the time Chicago dropped football (tail end of Wirld War Two) Notre Dame no longer had any interest in joining. They were actively blackballed by the Big 10 because they’re a Catholic school. They tried getting in MULTIPLE TIMES. People don’t know their history and WHY independence was Ian’s is important to them.
Did teams pull out of bowl games before the CFP started if they had no chance to win the national championship? Why did they play those games? They’re smarter for not playing without their starting WRs, Starting RBs, starting TE, backup QB, and risking an injury to their starting QB in a meaningless game. How exactly were they denigrating Notre Dame? Please show actual evidence (and no, claiming that one school is more deserving than another is not denigrating anyone). It’s fine to promote Miami and pump them up. It’s a different matter to denigrate and tear down ND. While they’re not a football member they are a member in roughly 24 sports.
Yes they did. And other ones have this year. But the haters obsessively fixate on only one school.Did teams pull out of bowl games before the CFP started if they had no chance to win the national championship? Why play those games?
