ACC & BIG SOUTH Thread

Huh? Clemson got blown out by Louisville and barely beat a horrible Virginia team, yet somehow got a co-POW? How does that work? I demand a recount.
Conference has to throw some accolades to it’s cash cow.

Not biased at all... but Scott is the best player in the Big South.... no doubt in my mind.

I've become an Upstate fan. Loved Becky Burke as a Louisville player and have followed her coaching career.

I remember reading that she was a former player at Louisville, but don't recall when she was there. She's definitely the top contender to be the Big South coach of the year. They were picked #10 in the preseason... and they are well on their way to a 20+ win season.

They didn't waste any time pulling her name from the website

First ever Big South Tournament held at an off-campus site. The Fun starts Tuesday. I can make the case for six teams winning the whole thing. Every game will definitely be a dog fight... can't overlook anyone. No nights off. Can the Campbell Camels get over the hump and win its first Big South Tournament... Can Longwood win its first.. can High Point repeat, can A&T win in its first and last BS tournament... so many questions.

How many of Triad's favorite teams are in this tourney (and in what order)?

Notre Dame, one field goal made in the entire first quarter.
At home.
Ouch. :o

Taking a look at the ACC Preseason Standing vs the final regular season standings. For the most part it shook out about what the coaches expected. I went with the coach's poll instead of the media. Final regular season standings in parenthesis.

1. NC State (1)
2. Louisville (2)
3. Georgia Tech (6)
4. Virginia Tech (5)
5. Florida State (9)
6. Notre Dame (3)
7. North Carolina (4)
8. Duke (10)
9. Miami (8)
10. Clemson (13)
11. Boston College (7)
12. Syracuse (12)
13. Wake Forest (11)
14. Pitt (15)
15. Virginia (14)

When I look at this, I can't help but wonder how injuries played a part in a lot of team's seasons (and the transfer portal). Georgia Tech took a hit to their backcourt with Fletcher (injury) and McQueen (transfer). Florida State missed games due to injury and covid as well.

These conference tournaments are going to be lit!
