It's bc most of the posters didn't go to UCONN and have never set foot in Storrs

Was it Ben Gordon who was quoted in the papers talking about seeing the cows on his visit and then having ice cream at the Dairy Barn made from the milk from THOSE same cows?? He seemed very impressed.
I believe it was Caron whose mind was made up by the cows.

You have become f...ing insufferable. Instead of BANNING you ... I think we stop just short of electrocution. It is just painful to see your miserable presence around here. Face it ... Storrs has a future far beyond what PC could ever fathom. A State University leading New England and the Northeast. Providence is nothing much beyond Stonehill, Siena, LeMoyne, Fairfield, St. Michaels, and St. Anselms ... and NOT Holy Cross or BC. I don't get why we have to even read anything from you. This has been your Summer of Crowing. I don't think we ever see you post in March.

Not a UConn grad either. Grew up in Connecticut (Storrs, specifically - but that shouldn't matter, it's State U).

I doubt the 100K that show up for Michigan or Tennessee football games all went to school there. And most Kentucky fans probably didn't finish high school.

Abu just gave KO a handshake/chest bump thing and raised his arms with joy...:)

wait that was KO and Deandre. What the heck? I need to get closer...

This kid better not be screwing with everyone befor he commits to Pc.

How would he be screwing with everyone? By taking a visit? We have his last visit....that's a pretty good place to be all things being equal. If he already had his mind pretty much made up and decided to take a bunch of last minute visits to just make sure he looked at more schools, that is his choice to make.

I'm just saying if he's going to do the package deal crap and his mind set on it and the joint commiting thing do it don't waste are time. I just don't have a good feeling about him but I could be wrong.and hope I am.

Anyone with any real info on Abu's visit? This has been my guy for the past 18 months, after I first saw him. I know that sounds creepy, but really, he's exactly what UConn needs in my opinion. I love his game. A great team has balance, inside & outside. This guy is going to bring it, game in & game out. I don't care that he can't handle the ball or block shots.... he's going to pound opponents in the paint & grab rebounds. He's just so physical & strong. He's totally opposite of D. Hamilton, but the perfect partner in the frontcourt! A guy can dream (in the non creepy kind of way).... LOL

He's the guy I want most in the 2014 class. Then Chukwu. Then Snider. Then a SF. I like Chatman, Robinson, White, and Larrier in that order. We should get one of those 4 SFs.

I like your thinking! Great minds think a like, they say! ;)

Not a UCONN grad. Just a diehard fan for 38 years and a season ticket holder for 25. Am I supposed to feel like there's something wrong with that?
Don't worry, i went to UCONN for 2.5 years and never set foot in the Dairy Bar(n)

i've been to the dairy bar more times since I graduated from UConn than I did in my 4.25 years on campus... delicious for sure; ice cream, however, was low on my list of vices when I was there.

Sounds like a Road Trip to me... Look out National Lampoon's Vacation! Are you Clark Griswald?

I'd obviously love to have Abu, but I don't see how anybody other than Snider could be on the top of people's wish list right now. At the PG position, it's him, and then a bit of a drop-off. I know a lot of people have Samuel billed as a point, but I view him (and think Ollie does as well) as more of a combo guard along the lines of Craig Austrie. With the talent the staff has amassed on the wings, the 2014 and 2015 teams could be special with the right point guard.

Is Abu as good as Snider? Yeah, probably. But between Larrier, White, Chatman, Abu, Robinson, and even Oubre, we're in a good position to attract another stud on the wing, whether we opt to use him as a stretch four a la Daniels (which I imagine is what Ollie prefers) or in the Adrien mold. By 2014, I have to think either Nolan or Brimah (more likely Nolan) will have developed into a solid starting center, and of course Facey should be a solid 3 or 4 year player assuming that situation gets sorted out.

i was too busy eating spicy chicken sandwiches from Johnathan's

Why do you think he's a combo and not a natural PG? Also, while I badly want Snider since it looks like PG options are running out for '14, I think you guys are kidding yourselves if you think he would be able to step in as a freshmen and run an offense effectively. It really took Bazz and Kemba til year 3 to really run an offense, and Boat is still TBD. Truthfully unless Boat comes back for his SR year(he would prob be dominant by that point) PG will likely be a weakness in 14-15 unless Purvis can actually play there better than anyone expects.

I don't have too much to report but I did get close enough to hear Abu joking around with DD and Bazz. He was laughing saying "...and he didn't even wear a hat!!". And that cracked ME(!) up and my cover was blown. The looks they gave me. I went home.
