He was 17 years-old, just lost his father, and had a chance to play football at the University of Florida.

He's made some bad choices in his life, but I think you chose the wrong one to pick on.
Sure, do what's best for you, forget about the committments you make to others. Sounds a bit selfish to me.

Don't you guys have anything better to do than discuss a player that didn't come to UCONN? Classic. A player makes it to the NFL that ended up NOT coming to UCONN - and gets more talk than players we've got in the league right now, and having to do with a murder investigation?

Ugly.

I understand that DJ is doing well with Iowa though.

Iowa is a program that I'd like to see on the schedule down the road. I wonder if that program has been reached out to.

I've always rooted for AH, and going to Florida was absolutely the right decision for him. That said, I'll NEVER understand why so many athletes allow themselves to be surrounded by hangers-on leeches that do nothing but drag them down. Seems like AH will be learning that lesson the hard way. Choose your friends wisely because YOU are the one who has everything to lose.

Have question when see statements like this. Like with Vick heard he should pick friends better and hanging with the wrong guys; always wondered who is to say Vick himself wasn't "the wrong guy" to hang with and until he changed that (and hopefully he has) he would always be hanging with the wrong guys 'cause he was that wrong guy. Know nothing about AH other than what see him do playing football and what read (who knows how true that is). Who is he really, how many "knew" who Tiger, OJ, Vick were like vs. public press.

Apparently AH had a lawsuit filed against him last week for allegedly shooting a man in the face in February ( lost an eye) Four days later suit was dropped. Can you say settlement?

Can't link story from TMZ.

Whoa.

He shot a guy in the face?!

I kinda wonder about the disconnect here...."During the ride, Aaron allegedly aimed his weapon at Bradley ... and the gun discharged, striking Bradley in the face."

Why did it discharge? Was it because of the guy pulling on its trigger?

Sounds like he pulled a Vinnie Vega.

It sounds like he shot a guy in the face.

I'm the forgiving type, but if you've pointed a loaded gun at someone's face and then you shoot him in that same face, I'm not inclined to believe that "Ooopsie! It just went off when I hit a bump!"

What kind of idiot points a gun at a dude's face? Big body, small brain.

No problem with him picking any school he wanted. Big problem with him picking a school after he committed elsewhere. I know the oral committments aren't binding to the NCAA, but they are a bunch of pimps anyway.

What's your stance on Graham Stewart?

"Case was dismissed" tells me there is a LOT more to that story, but still...multiple incidents of gun violence with AH right in the middle of it. F ing sad for a kid who, by all accounts, comes from a good stable home environment.

Plaxico Burres must be really pissed. He shoots himself and get jail time and loses millions in salary. AH shoots somebody else and there are seemingly no legal actions being taken when the guy spends weeks in the hospital and loses an eye.

You obviously haven't been to the Jayson Williams school of gun safety in New Jersey like AH has!;)

Something's "fishy"...

>>The original lawsuit, Jaroslawicz said, alleged that Hernandez shot Bradley in the face. The refiling contends that Bradley was shot in the arm but the bullet traveled into his head and caused damage there, including the loss of his right eye. According to the suit, the two had an argument in a strip club and later, in the car, Hernandez pointed a gun at Bradley. The gun went off and Bradley was hit.<<

The two cardinal rules of guns: 1) All guns are loaded, even if they aren't. 2) Never point a gun at someone unless you intend to shoot them.

Hate to stereotype, but he's all tatted up like some gangster, and the hand signs? If nothing else he hangs out with some people of very questionable character. Aaron, may have gotten the better end of the athletic talent, but DJ Clearly got the upper hand in the judgement/character area.

I have good friends that are all tatted up and they are great people and the furthest thing from gangsters. You sound a bit out of touch.

Its not the tats per se. I can appreciate the artwork, one of my best friends and a guy in my season tix crew is tatted up and at one time owned a tattoo shop.

Listen, I won't go into specifics, but AH is known to have been spending a significant amount of times with some of Bristol's most undesirables. A story that never got any play involved him busting a liqour bottle over a dudes head. Was I there? No, but I heard this two summers ago, from a VERY reliable source. I won't go into some of the other stuff I heard, going back two years now, because I'm just some random dude posting on an anonymous message board.

This dude needs a serious intervention regardless of what happens with this.

Hernandez is from a good family and seems like a nice guy whenever you see him in interviews but the picture seems to be getting clearer that he's probably a bad dude or at the very least a reckless guy in his personal life. I was just pointin out it's not fair to judge people by how they look. I find it extremely sad that a local kid who had become one of the best players in the NFL most likely threw his life away. I'm not forgetting that someone is dead of course, it's just mind-blowing that someone in Aaron's position could throw it all away.
