Those dregs recruited guys that have beaten us 12 times in less than two years. Now I suppose you're going to tell me that they got a recruiting bump because Uconn was added to their conference. This is insanity, i'm going to stop now. If you can't see that we haven't dominated this conference, based on our RECORD, you'll never get it.

And again, I want out of this conference as much as anyone on this board.

The thing is if you go with that school of thought, there'd have to be conference re-alignment at the end of every season all across the nation.

I don't troll.....I've been on this board since its inception over 20 years ago. And am way more of a Uconn fan than you, of this I have no doubt.

Fair point.....but the way people complain about this conference, you'd think we were 30-2 instead of 20-12.

You may be a great fan, but you are as dumb as a brick. I can't believe you compared two years to two decades in your other post.

UCONN is at the least, a top 5 program in the modern era. That 25 year period of excellence means something, which is unfortunate for your argument. You don't get relegated after an inconsistent two year period (which included a championship, albeit, a somewhat flukey one). I am going to retire from this argument, and let someone else unsuccessfully try to get through to you.

Talking here and now pal.....who is the brick? We ended up in a sh!tty conference, yet we haven't dominated it. That is factual. Why you're unable or unwilling to acknowledge that, I have no idea. Our record is what it is, 25 years does nothing to change that. In fact, it's my argument!

A complaint is a complaint, whether its posters complaining about the conference or posters complaining about posters complaining about a conference.

So you do know you are complaining about complainers which makes you a complainer and hence complaining about yourself.

The solution of course is to stop the complainers or stop complaining. Its the same thing by the way, however one is much easier.

By the way being married for a couple of decades makes me an expert on complaining.
 
The worst part about this conference is that the dregs will pull us down far faster than we'll ever be able to pull them up.

They're the headwind that we'll have to run into until we either exhaust ourselves or get out.

So the ban didn't affect us in the year we won, but does affect us in the year we suck? Interesting logic. Guessing you didn't quite make the cut for your high school debate team..... you've made my cross country flight quite amusing, thank you!

God, I am a sucker. We are a bad team this year. No sh__. It is a down year, and it would be no matter the conference. Do you know that in the past 25 years, where we have had 4 Championships and 11 top-2 seeds, we have one stint where we went to the tournament more than 3x in a row. We have bad seasons, and this is one of them, and you are trying to argue that we belong in a conference with ECU, Tulane, etc. because of it.

Wait, time out. How would we be a bad team if we were in a P5 conference? I mean, everyone knows it's the lousy conference that is the reason we haven't been able to recruit. Or have I misread the 1,000 posts on that topic?

Dude, I'm seriously F'ng with everyone....only saying that it's not like this conf is so bad and we are so great that we have mowed down all the competition. That is seriously factual. Of curse we don't belong in this conference, I just wish our record proved it out so someone would come save us!!

That said, does everyone realize we are 20-12 in this god-forsaken conference so far? That's a 62.5% winning percentage. Hardly dominating, certainly nothing close to what Gonzaga repeatedly does in its conference. We've yet to beat SMU.....SMU!! And that's with only one year of recruiting saddled with this conference. So as much as it pains me to say it, exactly how are we so head and shoulders above this conference? History only takes you so far. Until we're consistently beating everyone in the conference like red-headed step-children, I think it's hard to argue we don't belong here.

I certainly hope we find a way out soon, but let's keep this in perspective. Yes, we won it all last year....but this year we are looking NIT square in the face and are barely above .500 in an awful conference. Like it or not, sometimes you are the company you keep.

If you guys keep sucking so bad I doubt even the BE would take you back. :-). All fun aside this world and certainly this generation is a what have you done for me lately and by lately I mean the last 3 months crowd.

If PC had half of UConn's success you could make us play Houston and Southeast Carolina every game and I would go and shut up while I went.
